Stopped in because it was eye catching from the street.
Upon entering there were 2 large golden retrievers in the small entrance whom belonged to a customer….. I am a dog owner & lover but in my opinion dogs should not be permitted in a food establishment because of shedding and allergies with respect to other paying clients.
After standing there for about a minute and not being greeted by either staff member I said “ May I order?” to be then told by the owner standing to the right, which I knew from overhearing her zealous conversation with the previous clients “what do you want?”
I was a bit taken back but figured she must have had a hair ball in her throat to speak
To a customer like that so I ordered a cappuccino and an iced coffee with a chocolate croissant.
The croissant was not fresh and had a day old taste to it. The cappuccino was cold and the iced coffee was watery and coffee tasted old.
The only thing impressionable is the decor and outdoor seating. Owner needs a class in empathy, manners and customer service.

The cutest! The Jersey shore is so great! The rain has came (it’s November), however this darling bakery said hello, with a magical, eclectic vintage glow from the exterior.
(I literally asked my hubby to turn around, so we could pop in!)
We made way inside and were pleasantly greeted, and chatted up all the delicious options. We opted for the coffee cake, cheese danish, apple fritter and a handful of other selections to share with family once we returned to our beach rental.
The pastries are fresh, and super yummy!
We’ll definitely be back! Go ahead and make way, the pastries are delightful!

With all the amazing bakeries in NJ, I visited the absolute worst. Nothing I purchased was fresh, everything was old and stale. It seemed like it all sat in the case for several days. How upsetting. The lady behind the counter was not nice at all. It’s a shame because Ocean Grove is such a great town and you should want to frequent a local shop, but no. I won’t be visiting there again.

What a lovely bakery on Main Street. Cakes are not only beautiful for the eyes, they are fresh and tasteful. Prices are very reasonable, the owners are very kind and helpful. Hot drinks include coffee, tea and hot chocolate (including dairy free milk). A place definitely to visit.

I bought a cake and cupcakes for my Mom’s 75th birthday. I mentioned that we were dining at Sea Grass that night and would be bringing the cake theree. The sweet owners said “oh we’ll just deliver straight there for you.” They didn’t even charge me extra! Not only was the cake gorgeous and super delicious! The sweet owners provided AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE and DELIVERY! Being in the Bake Shoppe is like stepping back in time to a sweet, family owned business where quality is paramount and customer service is that extra little touch! Thanks so much! We’ll be back next time we’re in Ocean Grove!

I feel much better after reading all the review and I wasn’t the only one who had terrible experience with the lady who works there. We ordered 3 items and got 2 incorrect items. We went back and politely asked if we can get them exchanged with the correct ones that we were excited to try with. If they said no, totally alright. That’s why we asked first. The lady immediately snapped and shoved the correct ones in a bag and told us the price saying “We don’t give out stuffs for free. That’s not how the real world works.Don’t come back”.Again, we politely asked if they could exchange for what we already paid for. Not demanding stuffs for free. I was shocked to see an adult talking to people like that and that’s not how you treat customers. Like the other person says on the review, don’t expect logic in this store, and the only correct item we got was very stale like other reviews say.

I typically go to this place when i’m in OG. Why? I honestly don’t know. This summer the older lady called me an idiot barely under her breath for trying to tap my card after she shoved the machine at me without hitting enter or her end. Then, the young kid working there reminded her to get my plain croissant and she snapped at him that she had. I didn’t even check b/c i wanted out but when i got home, no croissant. My family owned a restaurant on the Jersey shore for 20 years. They knew it was time to get out when they started hating their customers. The owner of this place should do the same. Give it to the kid. He’s the the only one who’s not jaded and angry at the “idiots” keeping them in business.

If I could give this business zero stars I would. The staff is absolutely horrible and disrespectful. I came here with my entire family and both ladies who were working there had no professionalism and were extremely rude yelling that they were closing and we needed to hurry up and order. Not only did they rush us out the store but had horrible attitudes to top it off. I do not recommend this place at all. Save your money and go elsewhere!!!!!

The black and white cookies were delicious. Wish the chocolate covered pretzel was actually a pretzel and not a cake disguised as a pretzel. A good experience overall!

Walking back from the beach, my fiancée and I saw this bakery and I immediately got so excited because it looked so cute and had a sign insinuating it has matcha. As I got closer to the door I noticed that it said, “Closed,” which I am legally blind so that is why it took me longer to see that. As i was walking to the door and simultaneously as my fiancée was telling me it’s closed, this angry old lady starts screaming, “We are closed can’t you read the sign?!?” I’m like.. what the hell ok ok and we start walking away. The lady continues to yell, “Didn’t you see the sign, what’s wrong with you!” She repeated it a couple of times too and so rudely and nasty! So i said back to her, “Calm down!”
Moral of the story, DO NOT GO THE OWNER IS NASTY, RUDE, and TRASHY!
