My husband and I noticed this restaurant during a random visit to its plaza one morning and decided to return in the afternoon for lunch. Upon arrival, we noticed the establishment was clean and figured it was safe to dine.
We ordered the Mexcical bowl ( which had rice that was cold & cold grilled chicken that was lacking flavor) and the Birria steak quesadilla (which was tasteless). We paired it with 2 sodas and it came to a whopping $40+.
Don’t let how pretty the food looks fool you.We will not be returning.

I heard of this place online and I ordered the shrimp tacos and I highly enjoyed them. I definitely recommend this store for anyone who would like to try. Plus they gave free chips with the meal which I find pretty cool.

We’ve been here many times and the manager clearly recognizes us, yet there’s never a greeting, a smile, or any basic customer interaction. Even when the place is empty, there’s zero warmth. She is not friendly also she gets mad when you ask for more toppings.

Just about every time I order online for pickup, my order is not ready when I arrive. Estimated order time is 5 minutes and I show up 20 minutes later, and the order still is not ready. Today, instead of buffalo sauce, I got some sickly sweet sauce put on my quesadilla… after the first one was dropped on the floor. I can’t wait for chipotle to open down the street.

Very exciting to have a Salsa Fresca Location in Newburgh! You are greeted as soon as you walk in. The staff is very friendly and serves you quickly. The establishment is very clean and modern from the decor to the menu. The prices here are very reasonable especially for the portion size. There’s a variety of options to choose from & the food is flavorful and fresh. They have jarritos soda & Boylan brand soda on tap as well as agua frescas. I’ve really been enjoying the food here and I’m happy to put it into my takeout rotation!

Ordered here a couple times and it seems the amount of food you get specifically for the bowl is underwhelming. I’ve asked a couple times for double meat and double rice and I didn’t receive it. I expect to pay more of course when it comes to ordering double of something but they’re really frugal at this place and I didn’t receive it. $14 for a bowl that’s barely filled? Kind of unacceptable

When I was here today I took a look at their Baja chicken tacos that they have on the poster and I didn’t pay it no mind the first time I ordered a couple weeks ago but this time I completely got swindled on the portions. There were no portions It was literally an air taco with lettuce. I can’t blame the employees because this is definitely the manager and top down garbage from the corporate world, but as you can see in the photos… it’s pretty disgusting. I put a side by side picture with the advertisement.
I recommend you check your food to make sure you’re getting the proper portions for the money you’re spending.

I love this place! My sister and I have been coming here since they opened. The place is ALWAYS clean, the food is ALWAYS fresh and the staff are ALWAYS so nice and friendly. And the manager is ALWAYS present and friendly; either greeting you and making your order or at the register thanking you and ringing you out. I recommend everyone visit the Newburgh Salsa Fresca. They will love the food and the wonderful staff! ( I opened the food up and ate it so fast. I did not think about getting a picture :0 )

I came for the cilantro lime shrimp that was advertised on the poster in store.
They were out of it, and they had no other non meat options except for veggies.
I got a veggie burrito with very little flavor, and also the salsas had no flavor.
If you’re trying to find a chipotle alternative, this ain’t it.

A fresh take on a Mexican menu. It covers the basics with fresh ingredients and relatively spartan ambience. There was literally a line of patrons from the door to checkout. Lots of takeout customers and a few dining in. Good food, with nice people behind the counter.

I ordered nachos and this is what I got! I’m still upset about it. My daughter opened the box and asked where was the meat and cheese. I went back inside and asked for the cheese sauce thinking it might be on the side since it’s a take out order but the man working there said no it’s extra if I wanted cheese on the side. I guess I paid 12 buck for a box of dried chips. Not worth it at all.
