We had the potato pancake, the Japanese cheesecake, the chorizo eggs, the French toast and the bacon avocado eggs Benedict.
I’m in love.
Everything was fantastic and the service was excellent.
Also they have fresh squeezed orange juice.

Wife was annoyed, but I LOVED IT!! Lol! Homemade by the waiter/owner?, Japanese cheesecake, obviously he’s very proud of, AMAZING! Eggs benedict, amazing! Double French toast and that little shot of syrup, amazing! Coke in a can, amazing! The sense of humor of the waiter, owner, employee I don’t know what to call him, amazing! The area, the parking, the feel of the neighborhood, the diversity of people, it was all amazing. I can’t wait to go back! Seriously, I might go back next weekend, four hour drive just to eat at that place.

Cozy small breakfast diner serving comfort food. Tried the Avocado & Bacon Benedict and it was delicious! Kind & friendly staff. Keep in mind-they have limited seating & small team so come here if you have time & patience. There is usually one cook and another helping with taking orders. However, the quality of food is excellent & it feels welcoming like you’re dining at your friend’s house. Don’t forget to try their Japanese cheesecake!

Our second weekend in a row, did not disappoint! We’ve had the: chorizo & eggs, avocado & bacon Benedict, (I’m photo) then the pulled pork Benedict, Japanese cheese cake, and French toast. Everything, I repeat, EVERYTHING!, is delicious. I’m a picky eater and usually have 1-2 adjustment requests (that are often missed at other places) but that hasn’t happened here. Staff is friendly, food is quick but obviously freshly made. Will continue to return!

This was our go to Sunday breakfast diner until we moved farther away…but even after moving we still go at least once or twice a month. Love the avocado bacon benedict, potato pancakes, steak mushroom omelet, cheesecake, and their fresh squeezed OJ. Omelets are so perfect looking, it looks like an anime dish! Not even one brown spot!

Could try Cottage Cafe is a little gem on Grant Street. Absolutely, some of the best breakfast/brunch food I have had in a long while. Starting off, the entrance isn’t much to behold. It’s very easy to miss if you were just driving by, not looking for this place. Even when looking for it, it’s a little hidden. I went with three other people, total four people. Walking in, you’re presented with a tow of seats on a bar, in front of the grill. There are two people working there, so service is slow. We get seated in the back and see the two of then scrambling to take orders and prepare food for the people on the counter. We waited for a few minutes and was able to get our orders take. My group ordered two pancakes, two avocado toast, a cheese, avocado and bacon omelette, a side of hash browns, a side of eggs, an English muffin, coffee, tea, and freshly squeezed orange juice.
It took roughly 10-15 minutes for the food to come out, but it was understandable based on the number of people working and the order size. To top it off, the wait was well worth it. The pancakes are a lot thinner than most places, making them more crepe like than fluffy. It was a pleasant surprise compared to how pancakes are normally prepared. The avocado toast was very well portioned, with each serving having an entire avocado. Each half was spread in top of a 6″ piece of bread and seasoned. My friend ordered a side of egg and put it on top of the toast, which worked really well. The omelette was excessively filled, having the contents oozing out of the sides. The bacon inside was very crispy, complimenting the soft avocado and gooey cheese. The size hash brown was season and grilled nicely and full of flavor. Overall, the food was fantastic. The slow service is excusable when seeing how busy the two of them was running around. The waiter was very nice and patient with us while ordering. It was a good experience and I would definitely come back here for brunch.

One of the best hidden gems on grand avenue in south sf. They have the best avocado benedicts and also the best steak and eggs. The owners are real sweet and they are very clean with their cooking.
Also, they offer you a Japanese cake to start off. Delicous. Been here about 4 times now and will continue to visit them.
Prices are so far they should charge more.

Like eating in an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. Cute dining room and counter. Tight standard menu. But a filthy, disgusting, greasy, lazy-@ss gross kitchen only a few feet from the counter. A grease fire about to happen. Get your student helper to start scrubbing daily and turn that around. Ugh. Shudder.
