The ramen was delicious! We’ve been waiting for this place to open for a while and we finally got to try it. The pork dumplings were very tasty as the appetizer; the chicken shoyu ramen was one of the best I’ve ever had and probably the best ramen in the area by far. We also enjoyed the sticky miso toffee pudding desert and it was incredibly good – the toffee pudding goes quite well with mochi. We’ll definitely return and we look forward to seeing this business grow! Definitely try it, you won’t be disappointed.

Edit #2: My hubby started VDay off with some bagel sandwiches The Japanese Tamago is so special, we loved it! But my heart cries out for bacon egg and cheese on blueberry bagel (when Josh doesn’t have his chicken biscuits, that is!)
Hubby and I attended the soft opening of Brightside Kitchen… we’ve been keeping an eye on this place for months! We enjoyed the pork dumplings (we could have eaten thirty each), Sesame Brisket Ramen (new, very flavorful and smokey), and the classic Tonkotsu (tender pork). I can’t wait for the full opening and menu offerings!

If you’re looking for your new favorite comfort food spot, look no further than Bright Belly Ramen — this place is an absolute gem! From the very first bite, we were blown away. The pork dumplings were incredibly flavorful — perfectly seasoned, juicy, and packed with deliciousness. It was our first time trying the Unagi Toast and the Tuna Tataki, and wow… both were absolutely amazing. The Unagi Toast was rich and savory with the perfect balance of textures, and the Tuna Tataki was fresh, delicate, and beautifully prepared. When it came to the ramen, they truly nailed it. My daughter ordered the Tonkotsu, and I went with the Spicy Curry ramen. Both bowls were phenomenal. The Tonkotsu was rich and comforting with a deeply satisfying broth, and the Spicy Curry had just the right amount of kick — enough to warm you up without overpowering the incredible depth of flavor. Every bite was layered, balanced, and completely crave-worthy. And dessert? Out of this world. The Mango and Chocolate Mochi were perfectly flavored — sweet, smooth, and the ideal light finish. But the real showstopper was the Sticky Miso Toffee Pudding. It was next-level delicious — warm, decadent, and unforgettable.
Everything from start to finish was a 10/10 experience. The food, the flavors, the creativity — all exceptional. We will absolutely be back and will be recommending Bright Belly Ramen to everyone we know!

I would classify myself as a ramen snob. I moved from Florida several years ago and was discontent with ramen options in Peoria and surrounding areas…until I tasted this ramen. I ordered the tantanmen ramen…the broth was perfect with just the right amount of spice. The appetizer (pork dumplings) and dessert (toffee pudding) were also amazing with great flavor profiles. Would highly recommend to anyone. Our family will definitely be returning.

I love a good breakfast sandwich and am always on the hunt for a good one. I tried Brightside’s bacon egg and cheese yesterday on an everything bagel with a side of chili oil, and holy cow, maybe best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had???? I hope this place takes off because their food is amazing and the atmosphere inside is so cute. So glad they’re in Peoria!

Josh and his team are the real deal. A true believer in quality and community. We’re lucky to have them. Their Bright-o bagels really give you the O face each time you eat them. Their ramen kits are fantastic and their bright bird chicken sandwiches are the best chicken Sammies around.
