Such an amazing place with AMAZING food and drinks!
Everything was delicious- not your average flavor profile to each dish

One of very BEST local eateries.
Steven our server at Rincon Brewery was AWESOME! As was all the staff we encountered.
The chefs even made me fresh whipped cream for my dessert as I’d asked for some

Disappointed. So we were visiting the town, chose to order take out from this place. Fish Tacos, A Cuban Sandwich, 2 BOWLS of clam chowder, and the pretzel bites. The Cuban was ok. The pretzel bites themselves weren’t bad, the dip was already seperated, and needed to be stirred. The 2 fish tacos… well, Im attaching pics. The clam chowder was supposed to be 2 bowls… we received 2-16 oz bowls, both only half full… so 8 ozs. Thats a cup! $12 each for those! Heavy on the potato, light on the clam, but otherwise flavor was ok.

Has lost its way. Used to be pretty good. Over last two years food quality and effort have fallen off a cliff. Items are regularly undercooked or out right inedible. Ordered the skillet cookie and was just a large cookie burned in the microwave. Could smell the burned chocolate. The fact this would even leave the kitchen is wild to me. Would not recommend. Go across the street to Dang.

We liked the vibe: very friendly stuff, outdoor seating with heaters, nice interior. Huge selection of beers, and our waiter was very knowledgeable, she gave us some good advice on beer and appetizers. By the way, she advised us to try a fried pickles: something we never tried before. It was awesome! Also, clam chowder was tasty, as well as sliders and fish and chips. Overall it was a nice dinner. In the place across the road there was a live music, so we also enjoyed it.

This place is a really a gamble when it comes to service, sometimes they are efficient and attentive but other times it feels like I have to wave down staff for placing even a drink order after being seated. Additionally some staff can often seem flustered or bothered when asked for service.
Often I’ve observed staff (presumably off the clock) come in to bad mouth customers while they await for their friend/coworker to finish their shift. This has happened to me on at least 3 separate occasions and frankly after this most recent experience when someone verbally accused me of not tipping after closing my check has made me feel unwelcome(the waitress did correct them we had tipped but still so uncomfortable to hear that interaction as a customer)
In all honesty as good as the food is, I won’t be bringing guest from out of town here anymore, clearly the staff doesn’t appreciate the business so they won’t receive anymore from me.

got a custom burger, it was quite tasty, bar was a little limited in options for cider and had no sours, service was excellent and it had a more relaxed atmosphere

I was very impressed with this place. Great service- especially the hostess! She was so kind and helpful and very smiley and friendly! My husband LOVED his burger and salad. I loved their fries and breaded pickles. I had ordered the Mac n cheese and it wasn’t my favorite (i think it was the beer flavor in it, i don’t drink so it threw me off) so i didn’t eat it- they ended up taking it off the check because i didn’t like it which i was very impressed with!! I still would have paid for it and that was a very unexpected gesture of kindness. I would recommend this place for sure!

Looking for plant-based, vegan food to go with some good beer?
Look elsewhere, unfortunately.
While the beer is good, I was surprised to find such a limited number of plant-based menu items. Especially in such a hip Southern California restaurant. There is a vegan salad but 1. It’s so simple, it can be made at home and 2. There’s so many tasty plant-based foods out now, it seems unimaginative to only offer a salad.
The crispy cauliflower bites, a vegan staple in many restaurants, are not plant-based. They contain egg according to the waiter and chef.
And while the sweet potato fries and regular fries were good, I’m not sure if they were plant-based.
I ordered the veggie burger, and again, I’m not sure if there was egg in it. I asked for avocado instead of hummus on it and it arrived without either. I felt bad by that point asking for the issue to be fixed, so I added ketchup and it got the job done.
Everything put in front of us also came with Ranch dressing, which for someone who doesn’t eat dairy, seemed wasteful.
The atmosphere is nice though, and it’s clean. And the service is timely. I may visit again, but only for the beer until they up their plant-based and vegan game on the menu.
