If you know, you know! This spot is right down the road from mi yaad and it is a mandatory stop every single time I’m home.
The setup is simple, real roadside vibes, and the food is AMAZING. I brought my boyfriend last year for his first Jamaica trip. He’s from Baltimore, Maryland so he takes crab very seriously. Before our upcoming trip he said, “First stop, crab man.” That says everything.
The curry crab is ridiculous. Proper seasoning, full flavor, messy in the best way. And the shrimp tea? Elite. So flavorful and filling, especially after a long day at the beach. I’ve had other dishes too, including ackee, and everything is always on point. No misses yet.
I haven’t been back since the hurricane, so I really hope they’re good because this food is part of my Jamaica routine fi true. Real food, real flavor, every time.

The shrimp soup and fritter hit the spot. I was looking for soup on my way to montego bay and couldn’t find any in the morning. On my way back I saw the soup pot and stopped. The service was great. The lady even though I didn’t get her name was so welcoming. Lady the soup shot! Will look out again for her whenever I am going Montego Bay.
