It’s truly a gem! The proprietor is absolutely fabulous and has cleverly leveraged her European knowledge and experience to curate an impressive wine selection that can cater to any tastes and preferences. And what makes it even better is that all of this is accompanied by delicious food. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking for a delightful experience.

Accordia Wine Boutique – Five Stars All the Way

I recently visited Accordia on Staunton’s charming Main Street, and—even with the high expectations set by its glowing reputation—it truly exceeded them. From the moment you walk in, you sense that this isn’t just another wine store. It’s an experience: carefully curated, deeply personal, and undeniably full of passion.

Atmosphere & Ambience
The shop itself is as beautiful as the bottles lining the shelves. Think warm wood tones, soft lighting, and an inviting layout that blends vintage elegance with modern flair. It’s the kind of place that beckons you to linger—whether you’re peering at labels, browsing staff picks, or just soaking in the cozy, refined atmosphere. Everything feels deliberate: no crowded aisles, no clashing décor—just a gentle invitation to appreciate the craft of wine.

‍ Service & Expertise
This is where Accordia truly shines. The owner—warm, friendly, and clearly a true wine lover—greets each guest with genuine interest. She’s not just knowledgeable (though her expertise is impressive); she’s a people’s person. Whether you’re a sommelier or a casual weekend sipper, she adapts to your comfort level. During my visit, she asked thoughtful questions about my preferences, offered insightful tasting notes, and even shared pairing ideas and origin stories for several bottles. She built a connection—not just a sales pitch.

️ Selection & Prices
Accordia strikes the ideal balance between variety and quality. The selection spans go-to favorites, hidden gems, and well-chosen wines from around the world—sparkling, rosé, rich reds, crisp whites—you name it. Each wine feels handpicked rather than mass-stocked. Prices reflect that care: while this isn’t a bargain basement, every bottle offers value through its story, taste, and provenance. Friendly sales staff guided me toward options across a reasonable price range without a hint of pushiness.

️ Extras & Experience
A few signature touches elevate the experience:

Curated flight night tastings – specialized events centered around themes.

Pairing suggestions – from breads and cheeses to local chocolates—handpicked to match featured bottles.

Personalized service – need a gift for a wine lover? The owner crafts recommendations that consistently hit the mark.

✅ Final Take
Accordia Wine Boutique isn’t just a place to buy wine—it’s where wine culture comes to life. The décor is thoughtful, the service knows you by name (or soon will), the prices strike a fair balance, and the owner’s passion is palpable.

Five stars, no question. Whether you’re a casual enthusiast or a seasoned collector, this is the kind of place you want to support—and return to regularly.

My partner and I are Staunton locals, and somehow we had never been here before — but after our visit, we’ll definitely be regulars. From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed with warmth and kindness by Angela, the amazing owner. She chatted with us like old friends and helped me pick out the perfect sour beer for my mom.

We felt so at home that we came back that evening for dinner — and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we’ve made. We did the wine tasting, and it was such a special experience. Angela personally selected and poured our wines, sharing thoughtful insights about the origins and flavor profiles of each one. (We later learned she studied to become a Sommelier in France — and it shows.)

We also had the chance to speak with her husband, the chef, who told us about the rotating, fresh menu offerings. Every detail of the experience felt intentional, warm, and personal — like being welcomed into someone’s home.

And the fact that the wine tasting is free with a bottle purchase? An added bonus. We can’t wait to come back — Staunton is lucky to have this gem.

I loved this place, the owners makes it even better, they are kind, lovely and knowledgeable. I had the best rose wine by their recommendation, the tapas were amazing, as well as the charcuterie board. Is a beautiful, well taking care of, and high quality food place. I recommend it 100%.

This is the kind of place that makes you fall in love with a town and want to stay there. The owners did a guided wine tour, and it was fantastic. I tried wines I usually wouldn’t go to myself. The food was incredible – farm-fresh and made to order. You can tell they really put their heart and soul into everything they do. By 6 pm, it was filled to capacity, and the majority of the people knew the owners. If it’s the locals spot- you know it’s good. I will be going every time I’m in town.

As two people with a low budget, we came in hoping to grab a cheap bottle of wine and take it with us for the night. We were stepping into the wrong environment for that. Despite our conditions, the owner generously helped us find something that would fit our tastes and price points, even letting us try some things before hand. The pear semi-sweet cider that we ended up with was incredible. We had a great conversation and ended up very pleasantly surprised despite feeling out of place in the beginning. We thank her for her hospitality 🙂

I rarely leave google reviews, but this place deserves to be raved about. I stopped by here this afternoon on a whim with my husband and our toddler as we were leaving downtown (mainly to check out the chocolate selection I noticed walking by). As soon as we entered, the atmosphere was so low key, cozy, and welcoming.

After smelling the delicious food from the kitchen (don’t let the small size fool you!) my toddler immediately started to unravel about being hungry, so we hesitantly decided to be “those people” and sit down with a three year old in this nice wine cafe for lunch. Rachel was so welcoming and extremely kind, and both her and the chef treated our son like royalty! He even slapped together an off menu item- a simple yet delicious Gruyère grilled cheese- for our little guy since the establishment and its menu is geared towards adults. The soup was absolutely amazing and the perfect compliment to this chilly Fall day.

Unfortunately we couldn’t stay for the live music since it was past nap time, but we did grab a great bottle of Chardonnay to take home. Definitely one of the best local hidden gems, I’m so happy it’s within walking distance of our house! We’re already planning our next visit back. 12/10!!
