My wife and I were here for the Valentine’s Feast (that is why the person person price was so high) and it was an absolutely wonderful time.

The atmosphere truly makes you feel like you are in the Old World. There were musicians playing music on old world instruments to which we were lead through some VERY fun group dances that you are unlikely to experience anywhere else.

The feast was superb. 3 courses of 4 dishes each prepared in the ‘old way’; each course enough to be a meal on its own. You truly will feast like kings of old.

The entertainment before and during the feast was delightful. There was a much enjoyed puppet show before hand (don’t worry, this is not a children’s puppet show), the dancing I mentioned already, and stories and singing during the feast.

The experience was well worth the money and we will most certainly return for future feasts.

My husband and I came here for part of our wedding anniversary trip alongside the washington ren faire. This experience was even better than the faire! Everything tasted perfect, simple but delicious! The setting along with the musician playing. Ayla(?) was our server and she was the sweetest little lady ever. The whole experience from the washing of the hands to the bread being your “plate” and the mugs was truly something special here. Definitely try the cider! We will definitely be making a trip during the winter to see that fireplace working! 🙂

Fantastic experience for a party of eight at this medieval inspired establishment. As authentic as you can get in the 21st century. I’ve only been there twice but both times it’s managed to be raining and wet which adds to the ambiance of a medieval village.

A great experience that we definitely want to do again! Staff were extremely friendly, the food was delicious and even though it was pouring rainy the day we went it don’t ruin the welcoming we got at the Bors Hede.

I feel like I found the greatest gem in Washington. Was glad to come on a quiet fall Saturday evening when the village was closed. We truly felt lost in time. Roger was an amazing host and minstrel. The food and ale/cider was incredibly delicious. I was an English history major at UW 30 years ago so this is clearly my style, yet little did I know this incredible slice of historic English countryside has been in my backyard for all of these years. It was a magical experience and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful, unique dining experience.

You have to go there and try the food, it’s delicious: the main course, the drinks and the apple dessert. Plus the atmosphere is like you’ve traveled in a time machine! I love this place!

For $40 we got a multi-course meal with the staff all in character and live music, in a beautiful setting with unique and delicious food. This would have been a real treat at thrice the price, and even driving 4 hours felt well worth it.

A experience not to be missed; the food and drink options were extremely tasty, sounded authentic, and definitely different from everyday, 21st century fare; the periodic atmosphere even included tin cups; And the friendly proprietor provided entertainment during the meal in the form of song and riddle.

Most every weekend, all year, Camlann serves dinner at the Bors Hede Inn. And it’s a NICE dinner, and entirely on the medieval theme. You get served on bread trenchers, don’t get a fork, and it’s mostly stuff you’d get in the original town of Camlann: a bread appetizer, a fruit & cheese & salad course, a choice of meat. If you want a fermented drink (wine or ale or hard cider), that’s extra. Dessert is also extra. A guy with a lute sang a short song about every half hour. He’s also the only guy I saw serving/taking orders. There’s a cap on the number of people they can serve, but we went with a party of six and that was good.

AND OH MY GOSH THE BREAD WAS SUPER GOOD. Like, I took the leftover trencher home and planned a meal around leftover bread.

This is now on my list of things to do with guests as a fun outing. It’s about $35 per person before fermented drink and dessert. It’s cash or check only. Reservation required…you have to call their number and leave a message to get on their list, then they’ll call you back. It’s a weird way to set a reservation, but I guess that’s how they did it in medieval times.
