Our server Benjamin was awesome Came here in a group of 10 for a bachelorette trip, and he was honestly the best server. He made sure everything was on point, offered to take pictures, and was overall, a great server. The food was great as well, everyone left with the plates empty!

We went for a nice sunset and to grab some drinks and dessert. We sat at the bar and waited about 15 minutes before anyone greeted us. Service was slow overall, the drinks were fine, and the dessert is definitely not worth $15: it looked like something from a frozen, prepackaged party box. The cheesecake tasted more like whipped cream, and the chocolate had a dusty texture, which usually means it’s old and low quality. We’re locals and had always heard this place wasn’t great… now we’ve seen for ourselves. Won’t be coming back.

I guess this restaurant cashes in on being the only “fine dining” place in Brewster, but I found it overrated, overpriced and the food was really not that great. Dishes were a hit and miss (mostly miss) and either too much and bland, or too little but decent. The staff kept breaking glasses (which reflects the pressure they’re on) and there were screens on with like sports, commercials and Univision’s newest telenovela. Nothing wrong with that if I’m at the pub (but I wasn’t) and the mains were under $15 (but they weren’t). The chicken was overcooked, the charcuterie board was miniaturised and generally I found the experience disappointing for the price point. On the plus side, the views are great and their Sonoma wine was pretty good.

Great ambience and terrific view of ocean in distance. Breakfast menu includes some very tasty French toast and pancakes and the lattes are very good. Dinner menu is more limited but tasty – clam chowder was good and shrimp dumplings as well. Even when breezy and cool at night they have nice spots with heaters going!

Disappointing and overwhelmingly mediocre. With such an amazing setting and buildings that scream old world quality and service, the Terrace falls far short or expectations for a great lunch spot by the sea. The food, especially the lobster roll leads the below expectations parade…utterly tasteless, undersized and overpriced at $32 – even though the online menu listed it at $26 which was brought to the attention of the waiter. He checked with “management” who decided to enforce the higher price tag. What a missed opportunity to make a good impression by righting what was clearly a mistake on their part. The “house recipe” Veggie burger was large, but under seasoned and mushy….not very manageable in its bun or on the undersized plate on which it was served. Service was fair…nothing to write home about. Atmosphere was pleasant- mostly from the extravagant, albeit steamy hot, outside setting.
It’s a shame, really. So much unrealized potential in this grand old resort.

Lovely location and course is exceptional. We had major issues with restaurant. Service staff was newbies all imported on H-1B visas. Looked like majority of employees all foreigners and not local American high school or college kids. The spills and dropped food and trays and total incompetence showed little waitstaff training. This is a classy place and it’s not cheap. Food is awesome, though with the traditional higher-end pretentious small portions. We demand high levels of care in this atmosphere #Fail. Then we learned that entire facility does not pay their local taxes! They are years behind!!! These sob owners are stealing from local MA taxpayers just so they can milk some stupid, elites who don’t care about America. Horrible! Our family will never return.

Setting is amazing, beautiful patio terrace. I thought the service was above average. Nice beer and drink list. I got the beef tenderloin, it was good but not great. I thought they could’ve given more of the mashed potatoes and vegetables for the money. The beer itself was an excellent cut of meat cooked the way I like it. I would definitely go back but I didn’t think it was the best food I had on my vacation to Ocean Edge last week.

Beautiful view, good service, terrible food. This is our second time at Ocean Terrace and Ocean Edge, and we were greatly surprised by how bad the food quality has gone downhill in the past year. We have eaten at probably 100 restaurants over the last 10 years and haven’t ever felt compelled to write a negative review, even when the food was subpar. But for the cost of the food here – I can’t even imagine paying half and being satisfied. The appetizers (crab cake and fried calamari) and dinners (kids hamburger, prawns, bouillabaisse) were all shockingly bland and flavorless. I couldn’t finish my meal. Unfortunately will not be back to this restaurant, though we love the resort.
