For a quick bite during lunch I recommend getting a bowl. You get one protein and two sides. Tru the spicy chicken with kimchi and white rice. They have some of the absolute best kimchi I have ever had, I am not joking or exaggerating. Their ingredients are extremely fresh and there is no sour taste in anything. If you’re feeling a bit more hungry then I suggest you try their big plate. Parking: street parking is terrible as this is across from the court house, HOWEVER there is a parking structure you can park in. Two entrances to the structure: one on broadway and one on 3rd Street, please account for this. If you haven’t gave this spot a try, please do. Wonderful flavors, and an incredibly small owned business. Please try the kimchi!!
Since this place is a short walk from the office, I expect to be a regular customer!
One caveat is their drink options are very limited but there’s other places for than around the corner anyway
I ordered the short ribs and pork bulgogi, and when I say they were unbearably salty and overly seasoned, I’m not exaggerating. It honestly felt like they were deliberately trying to give customers heart disease because there’s no reason food should be this salty. On my drive home, I actually developed a headache from the amount of sodium, and I’m now in bed typing this because my head still hurts.
The banchan were just as bad. The cucumber side dish was completely wrong. I took one bite and immediately spat it out. Proper cucumber salad needs to be salted and left to sit so it lightly pickles, but it’s clear they didn’t do that at all. On the other hand, the spinach was completely unseasoned. Somehow everything here is either massively over-seasoned or totally bland. There’s no in between. The only acceptable items were the rice and kimchi.
Service was also terrible. The guy at the front acted like he didn’t want to be there. When I asked for spoons, he responded with “spoons???” as if it was a ridiculous request. I need a spoon to eat rice. That shouldn’t be confusing.
I would’ve asked for my money back if I hadn’t been with a friend.
Save your money and don’t come here. I’m Korean. I know what I’m talking about, and this is easily the worst Korean food I’ve ever had, and I’m not saying that lightly.
