We ordered food to go. First time trying this place so we thought we’d go simple. Cheesesteak, burger and wings. The cheesesteak was miserable. Could not find onions or peppers. It tasted like govt cheese. The wings were ok. We had teriyaki and buffalo. The burger was good too. Cooked nice. Disappointed in the steak fries being crinkle fries from a bag. Overall below average meal. Had high expectations for a new local spot.

Cannot wait to go back! We shared the goat cheese spinach appetizer. My steak pasta dish was absolutely delicious. My husband said his burger was one of the best he had ever had. Cheesecake was the perfect ending.

Had a great experience here especially for first day and first hour open! Filet mignon for $30 with 2 sides was very good! Steak fries were excellent also. Will be coming back to try some of the items on the menu and also to try the breakfast

I called Sunday morning and made a reservation for 6pm for two people. We arrived about 5:40 and got right in. They are very prompt to greeting anyone who walks in. The place is beautiful with nice tables and comfy chairs. Our waitress was kind enough to take our pic in front of the fireplace. My fiancé had order the cheese steak with a loaded baked potato and I originally ordered the oysters with a salad but was informed they didn’t have. So I ordered the butternut squash salad and added grilled chicken. My salad and especially the chicken was delicious. My fiancé said the meat could’ve been seasoned more on his and more loaded in the potato but all in all it was an excellent meal. They did start getting more packed with every seat taken by the time we left. Being opened on Sunday and Mondays is a wonderful thing bc Newton doesn’t have a lot of restaurants open on those days. We most definitely will return. With our two meals and a glass of wine it was $55 plus tip. This is normally our bill price at any other restaurant we dine at.

Dark Bulls Restaurant was excellent. The food was outstanding, and I highly recommend the spinach dip—it was flawless. The staff were attentive, professional, and worked seamlessly as a team. I’ve already been telling coworkers about this place, even those from neighboring towns.
We will absolutely be returning in the near future.

Delicious food, attentive service, great atmosphere. Borsht was hearty enough to eat as a meal, a lot more filling than what you might expect, very well done. Salad was excellent with delicious fruit. Beignets melt in your mouth.

The stroganoff was delicious, the wine was fantastic, the atmosphere was perfect, & the staff were incredibly sweet. We sat near the door & because it was cold out, one of the staff gave me a blanket. They gave me and my mother each a rose when we left. It’s such a wonderful restaurant & I can’t wait to go back.

This is a NEW restaurant! Clearly they are having difficulties. They communicate this upon entry and seating. We arrived at 11:45am we placed drink order at noon, got drinks at 12:20. Placed order and waited a full hour for food, received food at 1:20pm and most of it was cold. The concept of this restaurant is awesome, but they face some major challenges with table layout (very difficult for staff and customers to move comfortably). The decor is beautiful, but realistically this is a restaurant and simplicity should be the priority (takes away from seating and available walk way). Napkins, silverware and salt &pepper should be available upon seating. This is definitely not the case. Food was just okay. The best thing we ate was the firecracker shrimp. The staff is very nice and very apologetic.
The menu is simple but the struggle of execution in a small kitchen is getting the best of them. If they can work on fresh, simple and hot food, they will be successful. Skip the extra plate of garnish and work on prep and speed. There is soooooo much potential for this place.
By the way the breakfast plates we saw when we came in looked delicious!
