There are very few small town bakeries in this world. This one has been open nearly a century. Our family grew up with Schmidt’s and their caramel rolls are the standard by which we compare all others. Consider yourself fortunate if you have the opportunity to buy their goods.

I recently stopped by Schmidt’s Bakery on a last minute stop upon my way to a girls weekend. Like usually I was running late and I was in charge of breakfast the next morning for some AWESOME ladies that deserved the best. They received just that. I purchased several delicious coffee cakes/pastries and every one was delish and very reasonably priced. So many choices, BUT… mostly because of the great staff that helped me out and guided me to some perfect and scrumptious goodies. Thank you for your help, your baking skills and to calm this “late for breakfast” gal down. I can’t wait to stop by again. AND… in a small town fashion, your staff guided me to the coffee shop across the street for a GREAT cup of coffee, too! Don’t you love it when business to business work so well together 🙂

Stopped in our “doughnut” tour on our way to Rochester. 1st of 9.
Had a blueberry cake and glazed yeast doughnut. Both were heavy and had an oil after taste.
Very in-expensive.

Finally found a true small town REAL bakery! Staff was super helpful and welcoming. I bought a couple pastries and a loaf of bread, all were excellent!! Worth every penny and then some! Great service, great food, and an amazing value! Will definitely be back
