Overall, a nice little place to eat. I came at 7 PM and it was fairly un busy at that time. The order and pay at the counter and they bring your food to your table. The young man who was at the cashier box was nice and friendly and knowledgeable with any questions I asked.
I had Chilaquiles, I would say 8.5 out of 10 on those.

Stopped by on our way home to San Antonio…we were impressed. We tried the Piccadillo, Chicharron, bacon and egg and caldo de res, everything tasted great! What really sold us was the homemade corn and flour tortillas…so hard to find near northern Texas, everyone around here uses package tortillas. I’d post pictures but we finished it too fast lol. Definitely a spot to try 🙂

1st impressions, the ambience is super cute and the restaurant is spotless. It makes you feel like you’re about to enjoy authentic Mexican food. The staff is very friendly and will stir you in the right direction if you ask for recommendations. To start they bring you fresh chips with a delicious red salsa. To eat, I had the quesobirria tacos with consome. The tacos were crispy, stuffed with meat and cheese, and not greasy. The consome was a clear tasty broth topped with fresh Cilantro and diced white onions. My husband had el guisado de res with handmade flour Tortillas. My daughter had the huge torta Azteca with fries, she could only finish half. Overall, great service, great people, great food. You need to come check out this hidden gem in Alvarado!

If there’s one truly authentic Mexican restaurant in Alvarado, it’s Flor Del Campo! Everything is hand made fresh and with authentic ingredients and flavors. Not your canned chain restaurant TexMex. They have a great menu with lots of variety. I have tried their birria quesatacos (YUM!!!), quesadilla (huge!), and street tacos (absolutely the best I’ve had, hands down). Prices are great. If you eat inside, you get chips and hot sauce, which are perfect. They have Pina, Horchata, and Hibiscus drinks available, too. Don’t let it being in a gas station fool you. This place is worth the drive!!!

If you like spicy Mexican food! They have some of the hottest salsas on this side of the I 35! Bring your friends (sober or drunk,) bring your family, bring your tia, los primos, abuela, El loco tio, but don’t forget the tatara abela!

They do not honor the advertised prices on the menu. They’ll switch the price for a higher one when you go to pay, and when you let them know about the discrepancy, they’ll say the listed price on the menu is incorrect.
