We ordered pupusas and were glad to support a local spot offering a traditional favorite, but the portions and overall value didn’t quite match the price.
It was a reminder of how much balance and technique matter in a good pupusa, from the masa to the filling and cook.
Later that week, my wife and I made pupusas at home, and the difference was clear. Controlling the ingredients and portions made it feel like a much better value overall.

Sabor Latino may look unassuming from the outside, but don’t let that fool you—it’s a hidden gem! The food is authentic, flavorful, and cooked with love. I had the fried fish, and honestly, it’s the best I’ve ever had at any restaurant—perfectly seasoned, crispy outside, tender inside. Service is warm and welcoming, and the portions are generous. If you’re looking for real Salvadorian comfort food, this spot is a must-visit!

Prices are NOT the same as in the menu, pupusas are really small and without flavor, barely filling inside them.
Out of all staff there, there was only one young lady who was polite with us. Everybody else make you feel very unwelcome.
NEVER going there again!

First time coming here, and it did not disappoint at all. They serve from 3 different countries like Honduras, El Salvador & Mexico. I love pupusas, so I was eager to try them here. We got the one with cheese and the other with cheese and chicharrón. They were so delicious and flavorful. My hub got the Churrasco Salvadoreño and it was so yummy and perfectly seasoned. We also got fried cheese, which was the bomb dot com, lol. We got for beverages horchata & jugo de mora with milk, which both were delicious and refreshing. Service was perfect, too. I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

I love this place. Pupusas are one of my favorite foods, and I am beyond thankful this place is in our community. I appreciate the variety of options, and while I have certainly seen pupusas at cheaper prices, it isn’t so drastic that I’m doing any double takes. If you’re wanting to try something different, or you’re new to the area and have been looking for pupusas, it’s a must visit.

This is the first latino restaurant we have found in or around Augusta that actually seems to have fantastic authentic food and is sit down! The pupusas were amazing, the tacos were fantastic, and they perfected how to make maduros! Definitely needs more business, this place was so quiet for a Wednesday evening! Come on by, drum up some business for them!
