TALUNG THAI KITCHEN is our way of sharing the intense flavors of Southern Thai Cooking, passed down through generations from my mother to me. We are not just recreating the dishes of Phatthalong, we are reinterpreting them for our New York home. We use the name Talung to pay our respects to the Nang Talung shadow puppets that have entertained us for centuries and because our food, shadows, and tells the story of Southern Thai cuisine, through its chilies, peppers, spices, herbs, and sauces.

Pad see ew with chicken
Noodles had a nice texture (not too firm and starchy or too soft and mushy) and the dish wasnt overly salty or sweet, but the dish wasn’t anything special. Finished my meal satisfied but not craving more or super eager to get it again. Portion size was appropriate for 1 person.
The thai iced tea is extremely sweet, but tasty, with good tea flavor.
The server was very kind and helpful. Definitely better than other asian options like kuu or upthai in value and quality!

I just moved back from Thailand and this is the most authentic Thai I have found in the city. The servers are friendly and treat us like family. We love the khao soi when they have it, garlic pepper chicken, pad see ew, and everything we have tried. I eat here at least three times per week.

ABSOLUTELY OVERRATED. The 4.9 star tricked me and everyone sucks for doing so. The food quality is subpar and they always have something unbelievable on the menu. I’ve tried five of their dishes and am never going back.
