The restaurant atmosphere/ambience is very nice upon entry. Tables are close and plentiful, all come with a condiment tray, napkins, chopsticks, and the restaurant music was of good/fair choice (radio I assume) and loud enough to drown nearby conversations. 4★
Service was great. The servers/waiters were nice, professional, and helpful; checking in occasionally to see if anything else was needed. 5★
We ordered during lunch hour and got 1 spam musubi, 1 tengu tonkatsu ramen, and 1 shoyu ramen. The spam musubi was good, and the ramens were really generous on the meat, eggs, and toppings as is. The thick noodles we selected were quite just right. 4★

We were in and out due to other priorities but a 4.3★ total on food, service, and overall a experience. Compliments to the chefs today and especially the servers/waitresses… they were nothing but kind and helpful.

Went here on a Thursday evening. Place wasn’t too packed. You wait for a serve to seat you. Located in a shopping center, parking isn’t hard to find.

I ordered the Tengu Tonkotsu Ramen with a side of fried oysters. The broth had a little weird flavoring. Not too savory and they served the soup lukewarm. The fried oysters were pretty good.

Overall, a nice environment and very friendly staff. Unfortunately, the soup was subpar. I did bring this to the servers attention, so hopefully there’s some improvement there.

Tonight’s early dinner was delicious (around 5pm). But the service was not so great. Wasn’t that busy. After I was sat down at a table, about a minute or two later, both waitresses went around to all the other tables besides mine. I was just sitting there ready to order, they were just passing by me. I was looking straight at them and they acted like I wasn’t even there. Then both of them went back to the counter and started talking to eachother. I had to wait til 1 of them look up, then I had to wave her down just to come get my order. After I had finished eating, one of them came by and asked me if I was done and told me that she was going to bring me my check. So I waited. Once she got back to the counter, they both started chatting away again. I was done waiting for her to bring me the check, so I just up and went to pay for it. I’ve been to this place several times, but never had such a bad service til today.

Everytime I’m in Visalia I like to stop by here and order the dumplings, they’re pan-fried instead of fully fried, that changes the flavor completely. You can tell we enjoy the dumplings (gyozas) very much from the picture alone. I order a ramen bowl along with the dumplings just to try out the menu!
-1 star due to finding a hair in my ramen but that was after I got done eating it!

Really loved the atmosphere here! The servers were really friendly and attentive. I also really enjoyed the food. I feel the portions could be a little bigger. We didn’t order sushi but the sushi rolls looked tasty with large portions. The eel bbq bowl was amazing! I would definitely return; the menu had a lot of great options.

We found this restaurant during our holiday road trip from Yosemite National Park to San Francisco.
After a long drive, we were tired and really craving Japanese food, so it was the perfect place to take a break.

The shoyu ramen was flavorful and comforting, and the pork katsu curry was not too spicy and very satisfying. Our kids especially enjoyed the ramen and ate it all.

What we are especially grateful for is what happened afterward. After arriving in San Francisco, we realized that we had accidentally left our i-pad at the restaurant. When we contacted them, they kindly went out of their way to send it back to our home in another state.

The food was wonderful, and the staff were incredibly kind and thoughtful.
We truly appreciate their kindness and would love to visit again if we’re ever in the area.

New restaurant in Visalia. Got lured by the one the employees giving out the menus for the restaurant. I ordered the Eel Rice Bowl, Rock’n Roll, Pan Fried Dumplings, Takoyaki, and the Yuzu Cheesecake. Relaxing atmosphere, good prices, and very delicious food.

Went again and tried the Katsu Pork Curry, Curry Beef Udon and the Sesame Balls. Very Delicious

In my experience, the atmosphere didn’t really appeal to me. We came to an Asian restaurant, but Spanish music was playing, which felt a bit confusing. The restaurant also didn’t feel very clean to me at the time.

Some of the dishes didn’t suit my taste.

On the positive side, the service was good — the waiters were nice and courteous.

Really liked the service the servers offered, the food was ok. Definitely not worth the $25 price for Ramen bowl and egg rolls. Will get a different bowl next time I come back. The chicken bowl i had was good but not great. Chicken was too rubbish

I ordered quite a bit of food and most of it was amazing and super yummy. However, when I was eating the edamame I went to eat one of them I got a mouthful of gunk and a worm. I found 2 more gross pods in my batch. Very disappointing with the quality this time.
