I lived on Park street when I first moved to America. I used to play on the swings for hours then my grandfather would buy me a small ice cream. It became a daily treat. What I didn’t understand was that my grandfather saved His change throughout the week to save up for my ice creams. The staff nicknamed me “The Penny Kid,” by the end of the summer.
Revisiting Beansie’s as an adult is nostalgic. The staff feels like a family with new faces. The burgers are classic American slider style while the French fries have a classically salty taste. The fries aren’t crispy but that brown soft fry that pairs perfectly with a few sprays of vinegar.
Popsicles, canned soda, and hot dogs are all perfect additions to your day at Battery Park. Beansie’s has allowed us to enjoy days, evenings, and sunsets here for years.

I ordered 3 Michigan dogs and 2 dogs with just mustard. This was very hard for the girl to understand. She kept saying 3 Michigan dogs, 2 with mustard. It literally took 5 times to explain. I said ” 2 dogs with JUST mustard and 3 Michigan dogs. The other girl in the back was even watching the convo. Finally she said she got it and that I was saying it wrong. No problem. Got the food. It was all bagged up and tied up. Wanted to eat there but had to leave cause they were emptying the Porta potty and it wasn’t pleasant, no problem. Drove down the street and parked to eat. Open it up and 3 total hot dogs. 3 Michigan dogs, 2 with mustard. WHAT?!?!??!?!? Buns were stale and barely any meat on the dog. Fries were GREAT though!!!!

Even though it is a cloudy and rainy day. Battery Park was a good spot to enjoy some of Beansie’s amazing fries. Definitely the best in Burlington. Shared a large, it was plenty big enough. Thank you for all the years!

Service was very quick although there although not many people in line. In the range of 7.50 for a double cheeseburger thats akin to a mcdonalds double cheese in size but less juicy or tasty and clearly of a lower quality for a higher price. For a Michigan burger double cheese and two sodas in came out to almost 18 dollars. Not worth a visit

Prices are unlike anywhere else in Burlington Vermont, and FOR A YUMMY BURGER?! I accept. Only issue is they seem to be cash only, so if you’re like me and have Bank of America, sorry to say that you may have to find an atm out of state before coming to this delicious truck. However it is well worth it, as it accommodates towards the community of individuals (such as myself when I was unemployed) who suffer from limited income. That plus the food is very good!

Great food. Ordered the Michigan dog, a hamburger with Michigan sauce and fries. The fries were awesome and they give you a lot- 2 people could split a small. The Michigan sauce was very tasty and a little spicy which I really liked. They’re cash only so come prepared!
