Went for lunch around 12:15pm on a Friday. There was only one group there, so I was seated immediately. Ordered the burger especial and it was served within 10 minutes. It was definitely very oily and that’s what made it tasty. Also felt that the quantity was too little for the 18 bucks I spent, inclusive of tips and taxes.

My wife and I were walking in Barrio Logan on a Monday night, not knowing that a lot of the places close down on Monday because we’re out of town. Actually, this wasn’t even our first choice, but I’m calling this more divine intervention than happy coincidence.
The place is very small; four or five tables inside, a few outside; a bar counter and a drink machine in the corner — a few broken taps; call it ambience. Mirrors from floor to ceiling to make the place less closed-in. Simple.
My wife ordered a plain bacon cheeseburger. Being more adventurous, I opted for LA TRUMPADA, which was a delightful mashup of Al pastor strips, grilled pineapple, avocado, and a really solid bun, skewered with a bacon-wrapped jalapeño, and Papas Sucias (sauced-up loaded fries). Messy, messy, messy, in the best possible way, and rich, fatty flavors without being greasy.
The young lady up front was an absolute charmer, and seemed to know everyone that came through her door. Our order was flawless (wife is picky; I am not) and she stopped by just often enough. Also had a lovely conversation with some table-neighbors, so it seems like most folks were as happy to be there as we were. Un gran placer conocerte, amiga.
I wish that I didn’t live something like 3500 miles away. I know people complain about a $14 burger in that neighborhood now…. Bubba, still the cheapest and best meal we had here in San Diego, I’m sorry to say. We spent triple this at an Italian joint not all that far away, and this was way better-tasting and much more filling. I weep for the economy, but only tears of joy for Barrio Burger. Should have just come here twice.

I had the especial burger – genuinly the best burger I think I’ve ever had. Not pretentious, just tasty, juicy simple burger with caramelised onions and some sorta jam. Just unreal. Chocolate milkshake was insane too! Unpretentious, delicious little burger spot ! Also lovely service!

I’ve had my eye on this place for a minute. Finally was able to try it out. I loved it. Walked in. The girl on the register immediately stood up and greeted me. She was very friendly and polite. Amazing smile BTW! I’m definitely going back ;). The only thing missing was a beer :p.

Honestly, a completely hidden gem. This is one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten, and I just lucked upon finding! Beef is juicy and cooked perfectly, the bun is soft and buttery. Also make sure you get the mac and cheese, probably one of the best Mac and cheeses I’ve ever had! Do not hesitate to order a burger here!

Typing this before I’ve finished eating. BARRIO BURGER is so, so ,SO good. The flavor is like fancy backyard BBQ, the bun was perfectly Crispy, and they have the amazing Crispy seasoned fries. 10/10 and added to my regular burger rotation. The staff is so sweet and helpful.
Clean establishment, and close enough to PETCO and Wickes West to enjoy before a padres game/event!

It’s the kind of burger you dream of, with a perfectly grilled patty that has crispy edges, a nice soft bun, and fresh lettuce, tomato, pickles, and red onion. Fries are crispy. Atmosphere is chill and reminds you of a small diner.

Absolutely amazing!!! I was impressed by the quality of the food and the care that they put in every detail. The mazapán milkshake was awesome!! It wasn’t too sweet. The sweet potato fries were the right choice. They have tables if you want to dine in. The music wasn’t too loud, which I appreciate. The staff was very friendly, the service was great. I’ll definitely come back.

Randomly drove by here for lunch on the way to K1. Walked back for food after racing and glad we did. Counter service was stellar and explained the options easily. Food came out quick and is some of the best burgers/fries I think I’ve ever had. DO NOT miss the chance to stop by here and try it out, you’ll be glad you did
