I was working out of town and saw a nice cozy diner and stopped in for breakfast. The coffee was weak, and the food was brought to the table completely cold. It was sent back and was awful. The Hash browns were barely cooked, no seasoning whatsoever. The waitress passed by several times and saw that my friend did not take not 1 single bite of his breakfast platter and never even cared to acknowledge. We paid and left. My point is mainly that a good waitress makes sure that their customer leaves satisfied and full. She was young so she will learn that being nice is good but caring about your customers is how you make good tips. I hope the lunch menu is better than the breakfast.

We stopped here on our way to the Zooland Campground. A great little place. No fills, but very friendly staff and the food was delicious. If you like slaw you must get some here, so yummy! If we are in the area again we will definitely go back!

What an awesome hometown experience! We drove through this town and decided to stop for lunch. The employees were so sweet. It was NOT fancy but it was fun. I gotta say the restroom did give me a laugh. It said it was clean and it was ish? We got the cheeseburger fries and a drink. For two people the lunch was less than $20.

Came here for takeout breakfast and I was so impressed! The egg biscuit was so soft and the hash browns were so good. What was even more impressive was the customer service and care! I can tell there is so much history and love in this diner.

Nice small dinner. Great service, nice atmosphere, and good food. It serves normal Southern grill food: hamburgers, hotdogs, NC barbecue, etc.

We waited 40 minutes for 2 plain burgers with literally just patties and cheese on them no mayo or nothing we werent even asked what all we wanted on the burgers meanwhile other people got the burger all the way and some with lettuce and tomato but ours were plain and BLAND we used ketchup but even that had no taste. Wish there was an option for no stars

Country Cooking, Hometown, Good Food! We had the omelet with hashbrowns and toast. Good country food! Staff was friendly! Well worth the trip. Goldston is a small small town but man the food was good! Gonna have to go back and try the Famous Rufus burger!

Kathy had a cheese burger and fried okra and I had a barbecue sandwich with fries. It was delicious . Kathy gave me half of her fried okra when she got really full with her burger. We both loved it. The two ladies cooking and serving were really nice. We marked another favorite place to eat here again soon.

Stellar in every way possible! The food is great country grill grub! Burgers are best in NC in my opinion. The staff is friendly, especially the big tattooed buttercup in the apron! Love this place & would cry if it wasn’t in Goldston. Definitely a place to go if near by & if you live a distance away, make a day to go eat! You will LOVE IT! So worth it!
