Great dive bar. Felt like I was at home, except there was a jukebox, shuffleboard and pool to play! Great prices. Outside food allowed. Beer ice cold. Welcoming staff and regulars. <3 Will be back!

Still surviving. Been going here off and on for years, but will need to go more often since my more local dive Ritchies/Dannys has finally been sold. But we still have the Nut. Years ago I best explained the “charm” of the place to a friend recalling the first time I went there. Told him as soon as I walked in I noticed a properly intoxicated senior citizen in the corner with an oxygen tube selling/offering slices of a pizza out of his box while a bunch of guys are trying to break up a fight at the pool tables. l knew this would be in my rotation of dive bars.

If you’re not a regular already don’t waste your time or gas. When you walk in everybody looks at at you like you just broke into their home. The bartender can’t make mixed drinks and says it’s because it’s a neighborhood bar. So I guess no one in the neighborhood drinks tequila and juice

Love the Chesnut!!!!!! Grab a couple cocktails and play a little pool in a quiet area. Right off route 1 easy access to all highways they have a cozy backyard if you wanna have a smoke with your drink nestled out the back behind some cover.

Best bar there is. Plus it’s family owned, which is probably why it’s so good. So much better than those corporate run bars. They treat the regulars great and keep the riffraff out.

Great local dive with friendly service and good people, large open space with 2 pool tables and an enclosed outdoor smoking area but unfortunately I hate having to say it but the Chestnut bar has now closed it’s doors
