I’ve been here more times than I can count and I always had the bartender Jennifer who also bartended for a family party we had. She was great I understand she hasn’t been around since the loss of her father is what people are saying. I was lucky enough to run into her at the Super Bowl and all I can say is bring her back. The customers love her !! The problem I had with the bartender was we couldn’t find her half the time she smoked which I understand but for 15 mins every half hour is a bit much. Then she favored people we waited for drinks for a long time and unless the bar changed the closing time she didn’t have people leave until well after 2. I know Phil and his kids and I love the bar but come on get the real bartenders back

Absolutely amazing bar!! My friend and I walked in and were immediately greeted by the fantastic bartender, Samantha! We had a great time dancing, playing darts, talking with the regulars, and drinking beer! Everyone here is super friendly. Cash only, but they have an ATM. Domestic beer is $4 and imported is $7.

Management needs to fire the bartender. Period! Usually do not write reviews. But this was just on another level. Bartender took shots all night ( after every shot that was ordered), charged different prices for the same item, spoke very rudely to many individuals, and sge would grab your cash for the drink that was ordered, but would never come back with the drink, unless she was reminded. Let alone, how many times she I saw her put the cash directly in her pockets. Would’ve just gone to another bartender, but it was only her. Not worth going here, at all, never never. You haven’t been warned!!@

Wasn’t even a customer and still got the best service I ever received from a restaurant. Pulled into the lot with a flat tire and everyone in the middle of winter and everyone jumped in to help without a question. Will definitely be back!

Nice cozy place to watch the game, play some slots, shoot some pool, throw some darts, or just socialize. Been here several times and the bartenders are funny and friendly. Make site to grab yourself a fresh bowl of popped popcorn with your cold drink. The chicken tenders are SO GOOD! Only thing I wish is they would make sure they always have the items they offer from the kitchen always in stock.

We’ve been there before but it seemed a waste of a nice neighborhood bar. The past few times there were hardly anyone in there and I always thought it was a shame that a neighborhood bar with lots of potential was empty however, today there was a few more people than normal and the bartender Jennifer was greeting everyone and making everyone feel welcome. We stopped in for the Bears game and they had pizza for customers which was definitely a plus because we didn’t eat beforehand and it allowed us to stay and watch the game rather than going somewhere else to eat. If it keeps up, we may continue to go there to watch the games!

It has been a bar since 1938.
Same ownership for the last 30 years!
Cold beer good prices, plenty of parking.
I enjoyed conversing with the owner, local historian and a hell of a nice guy.
Stop in, good solid joint No Frills, plenty of TVs and a great jukebox!

New to the area. Came to watch a football game and saw pretty good rating. Disappointed with feel of the bar cause it smelled like gas. Then when I got the fries and stuffed mushrooms, both were saggy and gross. I don’t think I’ll be back.
