The staff here are amazing people. Super polite and accommodating. It seems to be mostly take out orders (which was hopping while we were there), but they have a dining area and graciously welcomed us in when we asked if we could dine in. We got the beef lo mein, the general two, and the crab rangoons. Everything was super fresh, and our wait was minimal.

Shangra-La catered our 2025 New Year’s Eve celebration for over 90 people at a local over 55 community. The food was just amazing. Everyone who came was commenting on how delicious the food was. Each dish was so well prepared. Shirley was absolutely amazing to work with and helped us to create the menu. Thank you so much Shirley and the Shangra-la team, you really helped to make our event a success. I am sure we will be ordering again next year!

I can’t say enough good things about Shangri-La Restaurant! It’s hands down the best Chinese place around, and I gladly drive 30 minutes just to enjoy their amazing food. The dishes are always fresh, flavorful, and authentic. What truly sets this place apart is the owner—so nice and incredibly hospitable. Every visit feels like a warm welcome from family. The food was decent, but the service left a lot to be desired. We ordered the large quart of Sweet & Sour Soup, as listed on the menu, but were served just a single bowl. When we asked about it, the woman taking our order responded rudely and told us the quart size is only available for takeout—something not mentioned anywhere on the menu.
We politely asked if she could give us the soup in a to-go container along with a couple of bowls so we could serve it ourselves, but she refused. Instead, she left the soup off to the side where we could see it, but never brought it to us during the entire meal. It felt deliberately passive-aggressive.
After we received our food, she never returned to the table to ask how things were or if we needed anything else. There were four of us, and she gave us only a tiny portion of duck sauce—barely enough for one person. When I tried to wave her down for more or to request anything else, she completely ignored us.
What made it worse is that we were the only customers in the restaurant at the time, so it’s not like she was overwhelmed or too busy. The lack of basic courtesy and attention was baffling.
We ordered the Pu Pu Platter for two and the House Fried Rice—both were okay—but the entire experience was overshadowed by poor service and an unwelcoming attitude. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this one felt necessary. A little kindness and professionalism would have made a big difference.

Best gluten-free Chinese food in Worcester county! Fair prices and friendly service, this is our go-to takeout spot. The crunchy sesame beef is our current favorite dish and the extra spicy veggie Singapore noodles are also delicious.

First time here. Grabbed takeout. Got a combo and a side of crab Rangoon. All of the food was very good, place was clean. I liked the boneless spare rib flavor. The chicken finger breading was a little different than I am used to but the flavor grew on me. I will definitely go back to try other foods on the menu.

Gotten delivery twice. Delicious quality food!! You can taste the love. Absolutely best crab rangoon around. Lo mein is on point! And the spring rolls are so amazing. Kindest people and always find the apartment. They even call to confirm your order when you order online. And we had an allergy which they called to help with to make sure it was a safe meal. We will definitely be ordering again and recommending!!!!

Wanted to give this place a try, it was mediocre at best. Their version of Twice Cooked Pork was interesting, the best part of that dish was the cabbage 2/5. Beef teriyaki was very chewy, 2/5. Boneless spare ribs was fine, 4/5. The General Tso’s Chicken was thickly breaded but the sauce was ok, 3/5.
