We absolutely loved the food at this authentic Sri Lankan restaurant in Stuttgart, offering a true taste of Sri Lankan cuisine.

We tried the Beef Kottu Roti and King Prawn Curry with a European spice level, and honestly, it was perfectly balanced. The spice level was just right, and we enjoyed it immensely. We also had the Chicken Samosa as an Appetizer, which was absolutely delicious.

The portion sizes were generous, and the ambiance was really pleasant. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Very great food, very tasty, and do not underestimate how spicy your food can be on their scale, from 1 to 7 I took 3 and it was just enough, I once took 4 it was too much I cried, nose drops, I felt the need for a good Lassie that I had

I visited with friends La Bamboo Sri Lankisches Restaurant in Stuttgart, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The restaurant has a warm and welcoming ambiance that immediately makes you feel at home. The staff were friendly, attentive, and eager to explain the different Sri Lankan dishes on the menu, which was great for someone wanting to explore authentic flavors.

The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Chicken Kothu Roti. It was bursting with flavor and had the perfect balance of spices that truly showcased the richness of Sri Lankan cuisine. The dish was spicy – in the best way possible – with layers of chili, herbs, and curry flavors blending beautifully with the soft, shredded roti and tender chicken pieces. If you enjoy bold, authentic spice levels, this is a must-try!

The portion size was generous, and the fresh ingredients made every bite memorable. Along with the Kothu, we also tried a few side dishes and drinks, all of which complemented the meal perfectly.

Overall, La Bamboo is a gem in Stuttgart for anyone who loves authentic Sri Lankan food. The Chicken Kothu alone is worth the visit – but be prepared for some heat if you’re not used to spicy dishes! Highly recommended for spice lovers and foodies looking for something unique.

I just had the chicken kottu, and it was absolutely amazing! Easily the best I’ve had. The flavors were perfectly balanced, the chicken was tender, and the portion was generous. It truly felt like an authentic taste of Sri Lanka.

amazing Sri Lankan restaurant in Stuttgart! Went here for the chicken kottu porota, then had to come back again another evening for the full spread. The elhawalu noodles, the jumbo prawn curry, parothas, dhal and kandy chicken was really really good. The service team is super friendly and helpful with order recommendations. The kitchen team is Sri Lankan too, which ensures the food is authentic and super homely. A sure shot sign of this is the freshness of the spice mix they use here. Generally, important to note the distinct Sinhalese flavors here are not at all like South Indian or North Indian flavors, which is what makes La Bamboo unique for its location. So best not to walk in here expecting chicken tikka masala and dal makhani.

My normal go-to is the takeout joint around the corner, Laxmy, but we decided to enjoy a dining out experience at La Bamboo, in Stuttgart West, to expand our typical routine.

Sri Lankan & Southern Indian food offer much different flavors and ingredients than most Punjabi Indian restaurants. If you enjoy fish, coconut and more tangy sauces, it’s definitely going to please you.

We stayed with the Sri Lankan Spring rolls (delicious!) and then the Krabben Töpfchen, which was like a rich, turmeric shrimp bisque.

We shared potato dosai (served with lentil crepes) and Devil Shrimp. They asked how spicy we wanted it & we told them to not hold back. After several, repeated warnings, they finally agreed to serve us Sri Lankan spicy, when we told them that we were not German The spice was powerful, but really well balanced.

They also had great cocktails and Arrak, a spirit made from fermented palm flower sap.

Very friendly (and adorably concerned) staff, elegant presentation, delicious food. Menu is great for pescatarians, vegetarians & vegans. They do offer meat options, too.

They also offer DoorDash delivery, which is what tempted us to try it.

They speak great German & English.

Food is really awesome. Never expect such tasty cuisine. It’s similar to Indian but totally different in making and tasting. Simply amazing food. Service is very friendly. You can easily get info about the cuisines there. Medium spicy level is good enough. Must try restaurant in Stuttgart.

The food was amazing, cooked to perfection and served with a family twist. It was my first attempt at tasting traditional Srilankan cuisine and I absolutely adored it.

The entire experience was accompanied with a member of staff unveiling the secrecies of her traditional cuisine. Extremely friendly and eager to share her knowledge. Kudos for this.

Oh, and also, you can book your table online. An efficient and easy way of making sure your table is waiting for you on your arrival.
