owner was so hospitable, nice and food was also amazing too. my favourite was the lamb sate! it has juicy and fatty parts in between the skewers and it was not tough at all. the peanut sauce was blended and super creamy (which is different than sg/msia’s chunky version) but still so delectable.
the rendang was amazing too. love the hoagie (i think the bread was smeared with planta!) the portion was honestly quite generous, took us some time to finish it all. and we enjoyed the homemade matcha drink too. coffee is good but we’re not die hard coffee drinkers so it might be a little bit too strong for us.
we will definitely come back when we’re in philly and try the rest of the food! thank you!
Also, right now Google says their hours are 11-4 but the owner says that he closes at 8pm
The combo plate (komplit) is the fastest and most economical way to get a tasting of everything.
– the chicken satay is tender, the lamb definitely tastes like lamb but that’s not a bad thing
– the greens are lightly sour and cooked well
– the fried vegetable fritter is hefty and not greasy at all
– the beef rendang is tender and flavorful
– the fried chicken is a good sized piece and the skin is crispy
– the sambal is flavorful and spicy and makes you wish there was more
Looking forward to coming back to try the hoagie and noodles!
I will definitely be back to try more! The rendang hoagie looks so good and is only $12. The staff were very friendly. The truck accepts cash and venmo only.
