If you wander to Poynette heading south on Hwy 51, turn right at any street and go straight to Main St. Just past Main, you’ll find an alley. Turn there and travel a block or so and discover Gasoline Alley! This is one of the coolest little bars you’ll ever see. It’s very small, with bar seating and a few video games and tables, but there’s a big patio to the side to use when the weather allows. The beer is cold, the atmosphere friendly, and, wait for it, the food is very good! There is a list of appetizers…potato skins are awesome as are the cheese curds. They have hot sandwiches. Try the prime rib, the chicken, or the hot ham and cheese! They serve a few entrees, and the fish fry is dynamite! I haven’t had the pizza yet, though a friend loves it! Don’t look for a burger…no grill…but who cares?
