This is a hidden gem that I’m glad my husband and I found. The food was so delicious and the staff was very welcoming. Even the other patrons were friendly, with a “hi” to and from everyone – definitely a family atmosphere. My husband got fried flounder with potato salad and yams. All was perfectly prepared but the yams were especially delicious . . . creamy and sweet, but not too sweet. I got the pork ribs (fabulous sauce), turnip greens, and limas with corn. I’m not from the south but I’ve learned to appreciate the food through my years here. This was a soul food and southern cooking winner.

Wow . 100% come here on a Saturday for lunch.
The food was spectacular, got the cat fish 3 piece (comes with a few hush puppies which were out of this world) the collard greens, and Mac and cheese.. amazing, best food I’ve had in a bit. If you like spicy get the hot sauce in my pics and add it on the side with a little mult vinegar.. oh my.. it was so good.

We had a wonderful experience at this seafood restaurant! Everything was absolutely delicious — the fish was very fresh and perfectly cooked. The batter was light and thin, crispy without being heavy. The salads were fresh and flavorful, and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. We really enjoyed our visit and would definitely come back.

I’ve been a customer of Jack’s for more than 20 years at both locations in Raleigh and just learned of this location in Apex. I must say, the flavor and quality of my dinner was excellent, just like old times. I ordered two flounder dinners, one with mac & cheese and yams; the other with mac & cheese and collards (cooked with smoked turkey). The staff was very polite and the restaurant was clean. My order was for pickup, and after driving more than 20 minutes back home, everything was still hot and the fish was still crispy! I will definitely be back for more delicious food.

Some of the best seafood in the RDU area! Much better than Saltbox and other “famous” eateries. Highly recommend the Shrimp and Collards! Super friendly staff!

Went on Sunday afternoon was amazed at the taste and quality of the food! My family had the ribs, bang bang shrimp, catfish, and the OXTAILS and everything was served hot and well seasoned. The sides were scrumptious! Will def visit again. The staff were super nice and the chef/cooks even greeted us as well.
