If I could leave more stars I would! If you are in the neighborhood don’t miss out! Please do not be afraid to try this place if you are unfamiliar/intimidated by the food or language. If you have any questions they will gladly help you with suggestions and pronunciation. If you choose to opt out you WILL be doing yourselves a disservice. It will leave you with not only wanting to take the food home but bottling the fragrance of the cuisine and the energy of the staff!
The waitress we had was hands down the best I have every had in all of my dining experiences. We were not just left with full stomachs but full of emotions. Amazing food and service! We came with a big group and they were very accommodating and attentive! The drinks were great, especially the Paloma and caipirinha. Try the canastas de camaron for an appetizer! Our group’s entrees were all tasty, I had the lomo saltado and it was delicious! We can’t wait to come back for brunch!

Absolutely delicious dinner at Chulla Vida!! I had the Encocado de Camarones & a tasty tequila/pineapple/mango cocktail recommended by our waitress. Nice, cozy place, great staff, good cocktail menu. The kids menu had good choices for my non-adventurous kids. I already have a list of dishes I want to try next time. We highly recommend you give them your support.

Great food and our server was so sweet! Had the Saltado out was delicious and the green sauce is amazing! Desserts were so freaking good! Got the Tres Leches on the servers recommendaton and it was phenomenal, the chocolate volcano was also warm and delicious! It was our first time there and we will definitely be back!

I would give this restaurant a 4.2 if I could. It’s a good restaurant with decent food, but it is a little pricey. I ordered the fried tilapia and I ordered the $3 garlic sauce which was nothing more than a mayo based sauce with little to no hint of garlic. The sauce should be included in the price of the tilapia.
It’s a good place to visit if you’re never been here, but I think there is a better Ecuadorian restaurant down Central Avenue with a little better value.

One of the better meals I’ve had in a long time! Got the Tonga Manaba, amazing flavors I’ve never experienced before. Ecuadorian food deserves to be an American staple and if you’ve never tried it Chulla Vida is a great place to try it! Friendly staff took great care of us! We’ll definitely be back!

Very great experience, our server Sol was attentive. The overall service was excellent, quick and they checked up on you to make sure everything was to our liking. We had the Picada de Carne and it does fill you up with meat for two.

Best humitas and beef empanadas I’ve had in awhile. We shared the picata de carne and everything was perfection! Excellent capirinha too with lots of freshly squeezed lime juice. YUM. Our server was also fantastic (and that’s coming from an old jaded industry person)!
