We supported the business regularly by spending money, bringing friends, and even planning to book a party here. We always came with friends, family, ordered food, and spent good money to support this place. But now, after one complaint, a new rule says only people 16+ can sing. The DJ even argued against it, but sadly the rule was enforced. That means my son, who never caused a problem, and who truly brought joy to others, is no longer welcome on the stage
This feels unfair, discriminatory, and disheartening, especially since my son was usually the only child singing and he always added to the atmosphere. Because of this, we will no longer be bringing guests or planning events here. It’s very disappointing to feel excluded after being such loyal customers. They have lost my families business and I will be letting others know how unfair this rule is due to one complaint that “I had to wait for a kid to sing before I could.” Very disappointing and makes this place no longer feel family friendly to me.
First off the Jalapeño poppers were POPPIN’. A must have. These weren’t your run of the milk frozen poppers. These were freshly made in house.
The salt, vinegar, and garlic wings were on point. The wings had a nice crisp to them and the flavor was spot on
Lastly we ordered a sausage, pepper, and onion pizza. The toppings were perfect. The dough had a nice blend of that “made at home taste” and traditional crust. It wasn’t overly seasoned.
I also want to mention the waitress. She was covering roughly 7-8 tables and a bar full of people and still managed to be attentive and friendly. Great job!
The ONLY critique would be the temp in the tavern. It was 92 outside so I understand the AC having a hard time keeping up but it was a little warm in there.
We’ll be back!
The engagement with the patrons by the staff is genuine.
The entertainment with Mark Beauchemin and about 5 – 6 top level singers rotating through each week, is off the charts good and fun.
When I returned inside, the owner came storming out, slammed my tab down on the bar like I’d just robbed the place, and proceeded to scream at me in front of the entire crowd — calling me “ghetto,” as if that’s an appropriate word to use toward a paying customer under any circumstance. Disgusting. Degrading. Completely uncalled for.
There was no conversation. No chance to clarify. Just a full-blown public humiliation by someone clearly unfit to run a hospitality business. I’ve worked in public service. I know the difference between enforcing a policy and flat-out bullying someone. This was the latter.
If you value being treated with basic respect and dignity — skip this place entirely. Plenty of better bars out there with good drinks and even better humans behind them.
Left my plastic cup behind with “class”
