Our biggest restaurant (so far), Big Easy Canary Wharf brings our laid-back Bar.B.Q style to the famous skyscrapers of London’s business district, complete with live music, home-style cooking and – of course – plenty of fresh East Coast lobster. Our spectacular 150-seat sun-drenched terrace is a rare alfresco space in Canary Wharf, open year-round. Our 10-meter bar is where we boast over 550 bottles of spirits, our world-famous frozen Margarita machines with boozy juices, grown-up milkshakes and cocktails on tap, as well as plenty of craft beers. For intimate events, the Captain’s Table offers a unique private dining experience for up to 26 people. If you’re looking for authentic American Bar-B-Q, steak, lobster, and more, this is the place

Reviews
As someone who smokes my own meats and lives for a good BBQ, I have high standards—and this place did not disappoint. The meat was incredibly juicy, packed with flavour, and hit all the right smoky notes. If you’re thirsty, they’ve got you covered with a massive selection, including their own brew served in impressive steins.
I highly recommend checking out their daily and lunchtime specials; the portions are generous and the value is unbeatable. The vibe is rounded out perfectly by live music every night, which adds a great country feel without being over the top.
The only thing I’d change? I’d clear a little space for line dancing! Honestly, if I owned a restaurant, it would look exactly like this. I can’t wait to find an excuse to head back.
The restaurant and bar is massive and even though it was lunch, it was quite full.
I had a coffee, glass of coca cola and a taste o Rama which consisted of barbeque chicken, at Louis pork rib, Carolina pulled pork with housemade cornbread and barbeque beans and house slaw upon request. It was absolutely glorious as you can tell from the before and after photos of the food.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely, I’m sure it’s even better in the evening. If you’re in the canary wharf area and you want to eat a lovely hearty meal then look no further than the big easy bar
For a first visit, this meant a lot to us. Thanks to her professionalism and genuine care, we felt truly welcome as guests. It is clear that Inha loves her job and sincerely cares about people. She is a true professional and a real asset to the restaurant. We will definitely be happy to come back again.
The kids eat free offer was applied to our bill which made it very worthwhile to visit.
The staff were attentive and friendly.
The food sizes were spot on, for the kids and adults and the food tasted good.
Overall we were impressed with our visit and would visit again.
First of all, the service was absolutely outstanding from the moment we arrived until we left. Our server, Arnaud (as shown on the receipt), was exceptional. He was friendly, polite, attentive, and genuinely warm with all his customers. He had such a positive attitude and made us feel very welcome. His professionalism and kindness truly stood out, and it’s clear he has a bright future in hospitality. The cleanliness of the restaurant and bathrooms was also impeccable.
The restaurant itself has a beautiful American style decor, with a rustic Southern / American BBQ theme. The wooden interiors, warm lighting, and lively atmosphere create a welcoming and vibrant environment. The bar area is large and impressive, and the restaurant was very busy, which shows how popular it is. The venue is also accessible for wheelchair users.
For starters, we shared the nachos supreme with bbq beans and pulled pork, and they were absolutely delicious, full of flavour and perfect for sharing. I also ordered a piña colada, which was excellent, refreshing, well balanced, and beautifully presented.
Unfortunately, the main course was disappointing. We both ordered the rib eye steak, the meat was also very fatty and not what we anticipated, especially considering the price. While we finished the meal, it was not enjoyable and did not feel worth it. This was the biggest letdown of the evening.
For dessert, we had the sticky toffee pudding. The presentation was lovely, but the taste was just average, nothing particularly memorable.
The music was quite loud, which made conversation difficult at times.
We paid £212.51 in total, and while we had a lovely evening and truly appreciated the exceptional service, the food did not justify the price. We have visited other restaurants at a similar price point where both the food and overall experience were outstanding, which unfortunately was not the case here.
Overall, the service, atmosphere, accessibility, and cleanliness were excellent, but the food did not meet expectations. If we were to return, we would definitely try different menu options and avoid the rib eye.
It’s also worth noting that a service charge is added to the bill, which is something to keep in mind when dining here, especially considering the overall cost of the experience.
When we arrived we were given food and drink menus. The first 3 drinks I tried to order weren’t available. At that point I thought we were playing 20 questions – why not just tell me what you DO have?
I ordered the unlimited bbq. They’re using the word unlimited differently to me because I was unable to get any additional bits after I finished the first plate.
The others in my party had a coffee and a milkshake to finish. The coffee has been spilled down the side of the cup, and the milkshake was more foam than liquid. And even then, the glass arrived with less in it than I would have liked.
To put the cherry on the top, they add a 12.5% service charge to the bill that cannot be removed when using the online payment system (which we only did because we couldn’t get the staff’s attention). And then on top of that, they default to a 5% tip on the next screen. Yeah, you can take THAT one off, but they’re defaulting to roughly 17% tip? Yeah, no.
Menu is complicated, for example the taste of Rama has pulled PORK & PORK ribs. I asked if I could swap out one of the pork for Beef brisket & they could charge me the difference, I was told NO. They serve the lobster roll BUT it comes with Prosecco. We don’t drink so we didn’t get a choice.
Espresso was OK.
There is no flexibility, what if you don’t drink, what if you don’t eat pork. Don’t they get a choice?
Our server was good. She did her job like she was asked. Felt a bit mechanical not much warmth.
I will return to try the seafood for sure.
– Amazing atmosphere
– Great food
– Good value for money
