Exceptional location. Clean and open kitchen. Very spacious, plenty of room to sit and wait or merely eat. Honestly, this location is one of the better Hip Hop Fish locations I’ve visited. Look forward to coming back here for more!

Food was very good. Hot and fresh with amazing flavors. Waffle was better than homemade but a bit soft. Need a little crisp to it. The menu is full of great freshly cooked fish and shrimp and the pizza is made in front of you and hot out of the oven.. My chicken was cooked fresh and had great flavors. My fry order was enough for 2 people, crispy, hot and great seasoning. There’s a huge selection of drinks and dessert. It is worth the trip.

This is my go to spot now! Yesterday I ordered chicken and waffles and let me tell you it was so good and fresh. Not only does their lemon pepper seasoning pair with the chicken so well, but everything tastes so good and fresh!! It’s one of my favorite things to order there! Definitely recommend. Everyone who works there as well is so friendly and keep the space very clean. I recommend trying the fish and tenders next time as well, with Mac and cheese! Thats also a go to of mine. 5 stars for sure

Truly enjoyed the food from hip hop fish & chicken and I’m so excited that they opened their beltsville location! Their chicken and fish is always fried to perfection and they have the perfect sides as well. Definitely try those spicy green beans and hush puppies. And you MUST get extra of the ‘crack’ seasoning on everything! This new location also sells pizza & they’re constantly having specials so check them out!

I’ve eaten at several locations around MD but this was the worst. Our fish was coated in so much msg we couldn’t eat it. While her fish was fried so hard it was no longer edible, mine was mushy. I managed to brush off the dust but the taste of the fish was already ruined. The okra and fries were also covered in it. My daughter ordered this as a treat for me so imagine our pure disappointment.

Hip hop must be doing their own reviews because this place is crap and should be shut down. Food over cooked and dry like the dessert look at this piece they had the nerve to put in a box with a hole in the middle. Who does that. I thought about driving over there and throwing it at them. I don’t know who’s keeping them in business, but Hip Hop Chicken and Fish is not of the culture. Get some cooks that know how to fry fish and read the order placed over Toast. I had two side dishes missing from my order. I should have checked before I left, but with only two people in the store how could you possibly get an order wrong with that amount of customers. The muffins are barely baked and the buffalo wings are crispy as described on your website. But for $30 I received what I paid for mediocre food.

I am not a fan of the name concept but the food is usually very good especially when fresh. Their fried fish is some of the best you can find around. The prices and portions are very good. Service is so-so. The kitchen is very clean looking but the seating area isn’t very inviting.

One thing that really stood out to us was the crispy Catfish Bites, the flavorful cheesy Mac & Cheese Nuggets and the bomb fried okra! They have fried chicken breast at this location but could be less dry. The Half & Half drink was on point!
This location has indoor seating and you can also do take out. They offer parking since it’s in a shopping center.
Prices are reasonable and they offer a variety of fried foods and sides.
The crack salt is seriously legit.

The chicken here is fried to order and not breaded to death. If you dine in, it will be piping hot! Decent seasoning. Not sure what’s up with the bread in the bottom, and the coleslaw is solid, if not small. Solid fried chicken joint. The ‘hot’ sauce tastes like Texas Pete’s.
I may return to try out the fish, especially since it’s fried to order!
