Exquisite food and service. The server was kind and attentive and I received my food in short order. The restaurant is located in downtown Melbourne, which is busy, but not overwhelming. The kebab tasted fine and I enjoyed the baklava. My one tiny little critique is the baklava serving was too small. Check this place out if you’re in the area.

Hands-down the best hummus I have ever had.
I’m not joking when I say my go-to order here is 2 servings of hummus+pita bread alongside their orange blossom lemonade. I’ve tried several of the entrées here before – and they’re good – but the hummus is just out of this world!

Unfortunately on this trip they were out of the orange blossom lemonade, but the hummus is still just as good as I remember! Maybe the orange blossom lemonade is a seasonal drink – I will hold out hope!

Aya Mediterranean is my favorite restaurant for Mediterranean food! The Cold Mezza Special is my go-to as a vegan friendly option. I like having a sampling of delicious small dishes. Very friendly staff, superb service, and a comfortable atmosphere.

I’ve ordered here a few times for work lunch orders and every time I walk in I’m greeted with the most delicious smelling restaurant around! Everyone is nice and greets me well before I head on my way. I never got into Mediterranean food until eating here!! Their pita is the best, just the right amount of fluffy with browned edges, and the Moroccan Tagine is my favorite!! These guys definitely deserve more business, especially in house seating.

Our family has been coming to Aya for a couple of years. So it was no question for us to have a surprise 70th birthday for my husband here. The area we had the party was nicely set up to accommodate 30 people. The staff was fantastic and very attentive. Guests were to arrive by 4:30 and appetizers were put out until my husband and I arrived at 5:00. The staff had taken everyone’s order before we got there and then just took ours shortly after we arrived so that everyone’s meal was served at the same time. They were always near by to fill our waters or take our plates when we’re done. They presented the cake for my husband and then cut it for us and served. Never did they try to rush us out of there even though we had taken half of the restaurant.
And of course the food was EXCELLENT as always.
I cannot say enough of how perfect Aya Mediterranean made my husband’s 70th birthday party.
Just to add – my brother/law threw his wife’s 60th surprise party there and even though we live in Vero Beach, we always come here at least monthly.

My son and I stopped in for dinner on Tuesday, 3/3/2026. We can’t say enough about the delicious food, exceptional service and warm atmosphere of this family owned restaurant in downtown Melbourne. If you’re in the area and hoping for a unique experience, this is the place. You won’t be disappointed.

We stoped at this cute little place – even it was super busy and Valentine day. They ask us if we have reservations- we did not. Waiters ask us very politely if we ok to wait a few minutes until they will have available table .
To tell you truth- they was super busy, but they never once did not forgot us , service was top notch and food !
Let’s talk about food – I lived in Israel and had a lot of Mediterranean food – so I will say- it was amazing, food was absolutely awesome. Flavors was amazing. And it was very fresh and light.
So if you in area- please go and support this local jam. Family own!

Delicious food and amazing service. A neighborhood gem for sure. Our son recently moved to Melbourne and we couldn’t be happier to have this wonderful restaurant so nearby. The shrimp kebabs were perfectly spiced and grilled. The baba was delicious. The tangine and everything else wonderful. Prices very reasonable and portions perfect.

What a wonderful place. The food and the atmosphere were amazing, but they have nothing on the people who work there and own the restaurant. If you’re in Melbourne and have never been, I highly recommend it. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you for a great time and We’ll be coming back soon.
