Tried La Shish recently and had mixed feelings.
The chicken shawarma was unfortunately dry and lacking flavor, with not much sauce. Lettuce didn’t add anything and felt unnecessary.
The gyro had a similar issue — the red onions were raw and sliced too thick, there wasn’t enough tzatziki sauce, and again, lettuce didn’t really belong on the sandwich.
The good: the pita bread was excellent — very soft, fresh, and delicious.
The fries were disappointing. They were unseasoned, soft, and mushy, and honestly didn’t need to be included. I wish the wraps were offered à la carte without fries, especially since the price felt a bit high for what you get.
The baklava was the standout. It was flaky, sticky, and perfectly sweet. I appreciated getting two small pieces in different flavors (Dubai chocolate and original), though I do wish the portions were a bit larger for the price

This was our first time here, the food was really tasty and fresh. Service was great, the lady was friendly and helped us with a smile. My only complaint would be the actual place was a bit unkept, floors looked dirty and the restroom floor was super sticky. But overall, it was good. I would come back for the good food.

We are so happy to see that la shish is reopened! The flavors are just as I remembered, amazing! We ordered the combo plate, the shawarma salad, and the shawarma sandwich. All were delicious! We also had the fried cheese appetizer. Can’t wait to come back and try everything!

Hannah was an amazing server and really gave the warm welcome as if we were in her home. She was so inviting and helpful. The food was amazing and the sauces were not too much and not too little. Just right. I wasn’t going to get desert but I have in and Hannah’s Baklava was the BEST I’ve ever had!

This is the best Mediterranean food I’ve ever had! I’ve been to many Mediterranean restaurants before, but this one is by far my favorite. Hannah, the owner, prepares the food herself, and you can truly taste the love and care in every bite. She is incredibly kind and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back often! ❤️

Update Sept 2025 ** Much improved!Easy online booking, Which I think is the same price as in restaurant. Food was ready, hot, prepared to my modifications, delicious! Best experience yet. I’m glad I gave them another try. It appears they are remodeling to be an actual dine in location vs take out with a new dining room in back. The employee was smiley when i entered but basically pointed to my order and seemed annoyed i opened everything to verify accuracy. Five star service would be him opening for me and verifying the order.**

Just a little frustrated as we usually love La Shish.

Great food and great place to dine in Allen! We got the dip sampler, Mediterranean delight, chicken shawarma wrap (the fries were crispy and flavorful), grilled chicken wrap, and the gyro wrap. All were very delicious and a fair price, shoutout to the tzatziki and baba ghanoush that was so so yummy.

I tried a new restaurant today, it was called La Shish. It’s up in Allen, TX on Main street. We had the Baba ganoush, the fattoush salad and falafel pita. The baba ganoush was nice and Smoky, just the way I like it, I highly recommend if you like anything Mediterranean, eggplant or smokey in flavor. I love the atmosphere, the atmosphere exceeded my expectations, it was kind of a mix of Mediterranean & Moroccan which I thoroughly enjoyed. It looks both clean and fun as well as exotic and I wouldn’t mind going back. We were seated immediately and the waitress was very nice and patient. Just the right level of attentive, not too much, not too little, just right!
