Don’t waste your time! Go spend your money next door at Abe Capanna’s (Delicious). Three out of the four items we were interested in weren’t being served. $43 for six extremely dry tacos and some mid Queso? No thanks.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Stars – Absolute BBQ Heaven in Bend

We found a true hidden gem in Bend—The Lost Texan Tex-Mex BBQ—and let me tell you, every single thing we ordered was outstanding.

The BBQ rib sandwich was smoky, tender, and packed with flavor. The sausage had that perfect snap and seasoning, and the whole chicken and wings were juicy, bold, and cooked just right. The corn dogs took us back to childhood, but elevated. And those dirty waffle fries? Next level. Crispy, cheesy, meaty perfection.

To top it all off, the service was warm and welcoming—like visiting family that knows how to throw down in the kitchen.

If you’re in Bend and even thinking about BBQ or Tex-Mex, get to The Lost Texan. This is the real deal.

Smoked to perfection. Bursting with flavor. 10/10. P.S Brett is an amazing person!

My friends and I really enjoyed the Lost Texan tonight! The young lady working there was incredibly kind and informed us about a staffing issue that would impact waiting times but we know to expect longer wait times on the weekends when it’s warm and busy anyways so it was no problem. Overall, it was delicious and well worth the wait! I would certainly recommend giving it a try. The pork tacos are amazing!!

The Lost Texan at the Crosscut Warming Hut is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a perfect feng shui that makes you want to stay a while. Everything feels thoughtfully placed, creating a cozy and lively energy. My favorite dish by far is the steak fajitas — perfectly seasoned, tender, and absolutely delicious. A must-visit if you’re looking for great food and a great vibe!

Really love getting a beer at Crosscut Warming Hut but this was probably one of the worst food truck experiences I’ve had in Bend. Three of us ordered food today (Saturday) and were told it would be 20 minutes. Twenty minutes later we received a text that our food was ready but when we went to pick it up they said they just needed to let us know they were out of shrimp. After we ordered substitutions for the shrimp, they said it would be another twenty minutes! I get that food costs are high but the amount of queso in the cup that came with the queso & chips was just crazy small. Maybe get a smaller cup or just charge another $2 instead of filling the cup 1/4 full. I will say the chips were warm & fresh but nobody in our group really wanted to eat just plain chips. All three of us had at least one chicken taco & we all agreed the chicken was tasteless and so dry. There was only a very small dab of chicken on each taco which resulted in just eating tortilla on each end of the taco! I know they just introduced this truck at Crosscut but I can’t see it making it here in Bend where there are many other & much better taco trucks. I hate to report bad experiences but I, myself, rely on these types of reviews and tonight was a big miss and a waste of money.

Way too much dough for the quality. Got the crispy beef and the sweet pork tacos. Pork was ok – pretty fatty, but flavorful. Crispy beef was underwhelming to say the least – basic store bought taco shell with 1oz of meat, 3 tomato chunks, and a little lettuce. Side of rice and beans was laughable – cold, stale crispy rice with a plastic salsa cup of pinto beans for $10. Lame.

I was interested in trying the food until I saw the cook handling the food without gloves. Cutting an avocado bare handed and then wiping your hands on your apron and then handling other food is generally frowned upon.
