Yum. I am not a picky eater, I am a particular eater. I like quality and flavor. Chai & Chai covered those. The flavor was wonderful and not too spicy (I do love spice). The ingredients are fresh and quality. The cafeteria style service makes for a quicker visit. Our group had the Chicken Shawarma on pita, Turkish Gyro on pita, and the Chicken Tikka Masala and a Samosa. They were all equally tasty, though I would choose rice next time just for convenience sake. The location is walkable if visiting someone at Anschutz Hospiral.

This food used to be great and worth the price. Not so much anymore. The rice and the lettuce taste the same, in other words no flavor. You used to get real chunks of gyro meat and not it’s this very thin salami like sheets of meat (pictured). Definitely getting less quantity and quality for the same price. Unfortunate because this was a good spot, doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.

If you’re unsure, trust me when I tell you this is a must-try. I’ve been going to Chai & Chai on campus for my lunch breaks over the last few years and they’ve never missed. The Turkey gyroz (lamb + beef) with rice (pictured) and their small chai are delicious! You can taste the freshness. Ask them for the hot sauce too, it’s a great combo. Staff is always kind and the restaurant is nicely decorated and clean. I can’t recommend this place enough!

I really liked the curry chicken. I also ordered the gyro. This is the first year I’ve had in a long time that had a lot of filler stuff in it. Less gyro meat then the average gyro place. Customer service was awesome. And I really liked being able to eat outside.

This used to be my walkable lunch spot for Indian food, but the ownership must have changed recently. They should not label themselves as Indian restaurant anymore. Although the menu stayed largely the same, things taste plain and are no longer spiced the same way. One of the two side salad (potato?) had a burned taste, and the other one is just adding cilantro in a typical American cucumber salad. The mango lassi is slightly sour. I am not qualified to judge what authentic Indian food should be. But the food here now does not meet the expectation of American Indian food for me. Will not return even for just regular lunch let alone when feeling like Indian food. So sad that I lost my Indian spot!

One of my favorite spots to go on campus, delicious food and good service. The lady who works there is really nice. The prices are decent compared to other restaurants nearby.

Enas is back and her presence shows. Her food is amazing! I really missed eating the wonderful treats she makes. The changes in decor also make this place even more inviting. Don’t let her get away again … Please!

Chai &Chai management changed and the menu they serve is a delight. To give some background, I have lived in Middle east for 10 yrs and a fan of genuine middle eastern food. This place deserves a five star review because their food is genuinely middle eastern and extremely yummy. Staff is friendly and overall great experience. The picture I shared is shwaram bowl with Baba Ghanosh. Would highly recommend.

This is the only restaurant I go to on campus. Reasonably priced, friendly staff, fast service.
Recommend either the Chicken Shawarma or Gyro Platter.
