The cashier at the front was really sweet and moved through orders quickly. Now, there’s nothing worse than unseasoned fried chicken…and that’s what is happening here. It def needs SALT, and to change the grease more frequently. The biscuit was okay. Could be a bit warmer, and served with butter? Andddd why is a 3 piece wing and biscuit with a coffee almost $12?! That’s insane and def not worth it. I won’t be back, but at least I checked the place out.

The food was disgusting. The Mac and cheese taste like the box Mac and cheese using powder cheese. The collard greens were not flavorful and was more spicy than anything. The pictures on their website made me choose the collard greens and Mac and cheese and It was very much deceiving. I am a chicken person and I know and understand that dark meat is supposed to be flavorful and it was dry. So I’m guessing they gave me white meat. I’m very disappointed in this food. Please this is your warning. This was my very FIRST & LAST time going here.

If mid was a place this is it. The only reason they have customers is because the good restaurant next to them wait time is 40 plus minutes.
I got the chicken and red velvet waffles. The soul food chicken needs more seasoning like where is the soul? The red velvet waffles were dry and did not taste like red velvet cake/waffles. It tasted like a regular waffle colored red. Highly disappointed. If you in a rush or on a little break just place could be it but just know it’s mid as hell.

Recently visited Angie’s Place in Stonecrest, Georgia, and I can confidently say they’ve earned a loyal customer. I ordered the catfish and some wings along with an order of chicken gizzards, and everything came out fresh, perfectly cooked, and very well seasoned. You could tell real care went into the food—nothing rushed, nothing bland, just done right.
While I was there, a relative of mine came in and ordered the red velvet waffle along with a few other items, and we were both extremely pleased. The presentation was great and the taste absolutely delivered.
What really stood out, though, was the staff. Everyone was professional, welcoming, and inviting, which made the experience even better. You felt appreciated the moment you walked in.
For context, I had gone to a similar restaurant in the same parking lot the day before and was served food that was undercooked and completely unseasoned, so the contrast was night and day. Angie’s Place showed me how it’s supposed to be done.
Bottom line: Angie’s Place is my new spot. Great food, great service, and a great overall experience. GET THE GREEN JUICE (TAKE OUT JOINT) Highly recommended. Dr. G….

There is a fairly new strip mall located across from Stonecrest Mall, right next to The Buttery Biscuit, and that is where this Angie’s Place is located. I normally visit the Angie’s Place on Memorial Drive at Memorial and Harrison in Stone Mountain, where I usually enjoy the food, especially the sweet potato soufflé, which I really like. Since the Stonecrest location is brand new, I decided to give it a try.
Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing, not because of the food, but because of the customer service. Service and attitude matter, and this location fell well short in both areas. My wife and I were the only customers in the restaurant at the time, yet the young woman who assisted us made us feel as though we were an inconvenience rather than valued customers.
When we tried to ask a simple question, she told us to wait without offering any explanation. Before even answering what we were asking, she immediately requested the name on the order even though we had not decided whether we wanted to place one yet. The interaction felt dismissive, rushed, and unwelcoming, as if our presence did not matter.
That type of treatment makes it difficult to feel comfortable spending money at an establishment. Good customer service does not have to be over the top, but it should at least be respectful and professional. Sadly, this experience was nowhere near that standard.
What stood out even more was the contrast with other restaurants in the area. One of the few places nearby that consistently provides excellent customer service is Wow’s Burgers and Seafood near Covington Highway and Panola Road. Their service has always been top notch, which shows that good customer care is absolutely possible in this area.
For a brand new restaurant with no crowd and every opportunity to make a strong first impression, this Angie’s Place location missed the mark. When service feels careless, it raises concerns beyond whether you want to return. For that reason, this is not a place I would feel comfortable spending my money.

If you are looking for some delicious but cheap food, go check out Angie’s Place. It is located in the new plaza on the way to Stonecrest Mall.
Let’s talk about the food. For just under 11 dollars, you can get a full meal. I recommend the dark meat chicken dinner plate. You get two sides plus a biscuit. The chicken was crunchy and moist. The biscuit was big and moist as well. The collard greens were cooked well and just enough seasoning. The mac and cheese was good, but it need a little salt.
The service was great. They were all friendly and courteous. I didn’t have to wait, which was great.
Since it’s a new place, it’s nice and clean. It didn’t feel crowded.
What’s great about the place is they serve breakfast all day long. You can get such breakfast items as waffles and eggs.
Please go support this new location!

It was close to closing when I went so I’ll give it another try. I ordered Mac n cheese, collard greens and salmon croquettes. The mac and cheese was ok tasted like a velveeta but ok. The greens was to spicy and the croquettes was dry. The biscuit was good. The staff member was cleaning up but was friendly and nice. They got a bit busy everyone was coming in before they closed.

As we arrived, we noticed a QR code posted on the door, encouraging customers to order ahead. I started the process but quickly decided to just walk in instead. There was a short line, which actually worked out—it gave us enough time to scan the menu displayed above the counter. Wifey went with a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit, along with hash browns. I was still undecided and asked the young man at the counter a few questions. I mentioned I was in the mood for a waffle meal, and he recommended the “Angie’s Special,” which came with eggs, grits, a waffle, bacon, and sausage. It sounded good, so I went with that. While I was talking to him, I started to feel some tension. He seemed annoyed—to the point where I had to ask him, “Are you okay?” and reminded him that customer service matters, especially for someone visiting for the first time. Unfortunately, his tone didn’t improve much. He remained short and curt throughout the interaction. As we waited on the side for our order, more customers came in—a steady flow—but the overall environment didn’t feel very welcoming. There were two different sets of music playing at once: one from the kitchen and another from the outdoor seating area—which just clashed. Then I noticed some random chicken pieces just sitting under a heat lamp. And on the counter? A jar of pickled jalapeños that looked like a middle school science project. After waiting a while, I finally asked for an update on our order. The same young man told me he’d check on it and eventually said it should be ready shortly. While waiting, we overheard some yelling from the kitchen, followed by someone announcing a 5–6 minute delay for anyone waiting on chicken wings. About 20 minutes after ordering, our food was finally ready. We took it home, hopeful that the food would redeem the experience. Sadly, that wasn’t the case. As soon as we opened the bag, I noticed how greasy everything was—the hash browns and the sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit were soaking through the wrapping. Wifey confirmed it while eating: it was overly greasy and buttery, and she didn’t enjoy it. She also wasn’t a fan of the coffee. As for my “Angie’s Special,” it was okay—not bad, but nothing memorable. I really wanted to like this place. It’s close to home and had the potential to be a solid breakfast option. But after this experience, I’m not sure I’ll be returning. Well, maybe one more time—because I am rooting for it. I hope management makes some quick adjustments to improve the overall customer experience.

The food that I have had at this restaurant is decent. I love their biscuits and salmon croquettes. The cashiers have been nice overall. However, I placed an order for 3 pieces of fried chicken and 2 sides that were already cooked and they told me it’d be a 15 minute wait. The 15 minute wait turned into over 40 minutes!! Other customers that came after me got their food before mine. I asked about the wait and was told my chicken was coming out the grease then still had to wait another 15 minutes. No real apology or anything to make up for the gross delay. I try to support local business but this type of service makes it hard.

Received my order in about 12 minutes. I ordered Chicken and Waffle, I requested the chicken fingers and a blueberry waffle. Both were piping hot and very fresh. Chicken was crispy, seasoned perfectly and very juicy, each chicken fingers was the size of almost a whole normal sized breast. Waffle was made with fresh blueberries and cooked perfectly. Staff was very friendly and didn’t rush me at all and answered my questions with no issue. This is definitely a 10 to me and I will be back and will be recommending to everyone I know!
