Review: Cafe Dior in Highland Park Village – D Magazine
Reviews
I wandered around the shopping village and stumbled into the Dior shop to pass the time as I was waiting for a friend to finish up work. To my surprise, there was a Dior Cafe in the shop and I knew I had to try it. I was alone and had no reservations, but everyone was so nice and got me seated quickly for lunch. I was fully expecting to eat silently by myself, but the staff all took turns to stop by to and talk to me. I can’t recall everyone, but i think it was the hostess, two waiters, the barista, and someone from the kitchen. They all took such good care of me thay I didn’t realize a few hours had already flown by. Thank you for treating me well and making me feel like a pampered princess for the lunch hour.
While the experience is lovely, the food itself and menu options felt a bit underwhelming for the price. It’s a great spot for a special occasion or a one-time visit, but not somewhere I’d personally rush back to based on value.
Café Dior at Dallas Highland Village is an absolute gem! Located on the second floor of the Dior boutique, the space is beautifully decorated—every detail feels chic and perfectly in line with Dior’s signature style.
I loved how they serve water and meals on gorgeous Dior china with crystal water glasses—it makes the whole experience feel extra special. The dishes themselves are stunning, thoughtfully designed, and even match some of Dior’s signature dresses—such a creative touch!
My son adored the rainbow-colored spaghetti, and we were pleasantly surprised they even offered an off-menu item just for kids. The desserts were our favorite—truly exceptional—and the coffee was delicious too.
If you’re looking to celebrate a special occasion with family or friends, Café Dior is the perfect place for a luxurious and memorable treat. Highly recommend!
The food presentation is beautiful and clearly designed with detail in mind. Flavors, however, are mixed. Some items are enjoyable and thoughtfully crafted, while others feel more conceptual than satisfying. Overall, the experience leans more toward visual storytelling than memorable taste, making it worth trying selectively rather than expecting consistency across everything on the menu.
Service is one of the stronger aspects of the visit. Staff are attentive, professional, and well-paced, striking a good balance between being present and unobtrusive. That level of service elevates the experience and adds comfort to an otherwise brand-centric dining concept.
From a value perspective, the café is undeniably expensive. Certain items feel worth the indulgence for the experience and presentation, while others may leave you questioning the return for the price. It is best approached as a luxury café experience rather than a destination purely for food.

Service felt inattentive from the start. One of my sisters wasn’t even asked for her drink order, and no one checked in to see if we wanted to order food. It left us wondering if our casual attire influenced the service we received.
The food and drinks were underwhelming. Portions were quite small, and the salmon was especially disappointing—dry and lacking flavor. On a brighter note, the dessert was the highlight of the meal, noticeably better than the rest.
One thing that caught us off guard was the automatic 18% gratuity charge. It wasn’t mentioned beforehand, and we’re not sure if this applies to all tables or just certain ones.
Overall, the ambiance was nice, but the service and food didn’t match expectations. Hopefully, others have a better experience.
The menu leans more petite and curated, so it’s best enjoyed as a light, leisurely brunch. Don’t arrive too hungry, but do arrive cute. It’s the kind of place where you take your time, sip slowly, and soak in the atmosphere.
My best friend and I made a day of it and were happy to share the experience. Definitely a fun little outing for the girls…beautifully done and very Dior.
Service was excellent , attentive and professional throughout. However, portion sizes are quite small, and the overall experience is definitely on the pricier side. You’re paying more for the ambiance and branding than a full meal. Still, it’s worth visiting at least once for the aesthetic and luxury café experience especially if you’re a Dior fan or celebrating something special.
