UPDATE: 3rd time here, just as good as always. I’m glad to see more people coming to this place. I have to try some of their burritos or sopas next time, though. I bet they are amazing.

I’m so glad I found this place. Came to get a burrito at Taqueria Rancho Grande and the smell of their wood fired rotisserie chicken drove me crazy. This is my 2nd time here and it was amazing as the first time. Got their Pollo Asado fries and a whole chicken meal, that comes with 3 sides and about a dozen tortillas. Their rice is so flavorful, but their charro beans (refried beans with cheese, chorizo, jalapeño) are INCREDIBLE. If you haven’t been here, do yourself a favor and try it out. Outstanding place, great menu, CLEAN restaurant. It’s everything you want and more.

I recently came to this restaurant for the first time. I live fairly close and wanted some mexican food. . It was so good. The service was amazing. Isa , was so nice to me and even gave me recommendations. I am learning spanish and she let me order in spanish and told me i was very good at it. She recommended the salad which was the best salad ever. The chicken was prepared amazing and if just smelt so fresh in there! I give this place a 5 stars and definitely coming back for seconds

! The chicken here is perfection smoky, juicy, and packed with that real Sinaloa flavor.
You can smell it cooking from down the street, and it tastes even better than it smells.
The salsa and tortillas are always fresh, and the sides hit just right.

The staff are super friendly, the prices are great, and the portions are more than generous.
You can tell everything’s made with love and real flavor.
This spot is pure quality easily one of the best grilled chicken places in town!

First, let me start by read the name of the restaurant before you go and setting an expectation on what you will receive.

The best chicken out here currently, the chicken is grilled on an open charcoal flame giving it that distinct Sunday BQQ vibes. Very traditional chicken with all the sides. Don’t expect to get Americanized Mexican food. This place is authentic. Everything from the rice beans and Mac salad is wonderful. Very clean and well-decorated restaurant. It’s a bit small but hey get it to go. All the little details that most restaurants don’t do they do. ( jalapeños and onions grilled) wish I had gone sooner.
Check this place out !!

I like to call this FUNCTIONAL MEXICAN FOOD, it’s not the best by far but it’s okay. I came in to grab a Machaca burrito on a Sunday afternoon and it was meh. The meat was decent, but I’ve had much better. The wait time was super long and I think they forgot my order for a while. They only had one lady taking orders for the whole place, they had her going to tables and running the register, poor lady. It sucked that nobody backed her up as she gave good service!

The place was pretty clean but it’s very small and feels a little cramped. It’s not a good place for big groups, my party was large and we had to sit in individual groups of 4-5. Not the best experience. The specialty here is chicken but it seemed like all the meat was a bit too dry. This restaurant offers, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, tortas, and off course CHICKEN meals. Think Pollo Loco chicken meals with sides like beans, mac, etc.

I didn’t spot a drink fountain, it seems like they only have bottled drinks. I got a Dasani water bottle and burrito and everything came out to about $14.

I’m writing this as I sit here eating. My boyfriend and drove by and it coauthor our eye as we’ve been looking for pollos asados. We came here for late lunch, as soon as we walked we were greeted by the owner (I assume) he has a great aura and is what I’d call “sangre liviana” (friendly and easy going) he gave us the run down of the menu and told us about the daily specials ! We had Nachos de coconuts pibil ( shredded pork ) and they were delicious! We also got half a chicken and tortillas de harina so BOMB! We also got a chicken to go I love that we can enjoy this place while being on a calorie deficit! this will be out new spot !

Don’t Go , once you become regular customer they take you for granted, even you pay full price plus tips for take out simple food they messed your order even after spending $ , be careful sometimes Chiken are dry , sometimes watery salsa , some times watery beans , some times you order extra salsa there is no salsa sometimes you order flour tortillas they put corn , & they want expect full tips as you dine in , Come on for dine in people you have to clean the table & do back and forth to serve them, take out simple order even after paying extra gratitude owner doesn’t care, should not give them over rating,

I was been regular customer with them over 8 months with 3-4 days / week, they took as granted, service dry chicken & watery sides ,

Some waitresses hold back & they deliberately makes u wait or messed up food

I had very bad experience with Arleen & Andrea , they never appreciated gratitude!

& it’s not my fault, learning lessons on the way!

Be grateful!

Delicious smoky chicken & fluffy rice!

Craving delicious, authentic Mexican chicken? Look no further than Al Carbon Pollos Asados Estilo Sinaloa, a new gem tucked away in the shopping center at Dartmouth and Florida. This isn’t your average rotisserie chicken! Their secret weapon is cooking over real charcoal (al carbon in Spanish), infusing the chicken with a smoky flavor you won’t find anywhere else.

We tried the family meal with 2 chickens and 3 sides. The rice was incredible – fluffy, like homemade. We also loved the ensalada fria (a macaroni salad with a spicy kick) and the mac and cheese. Everything came with warm tortillas and salsa, perfect for building tacos or enjoying on its own.

Heads up, the restaurant does have a bit of a smoky aroma from the charcoal cooking, but that just adds to the authenticity in my opinion. We ordered takeout, and everything was neatly packaged for a mess-free journey home.

Al Carbon Pollos Asados Estilo Sinaloa is a fantastic addition to the neighborhood. They also offer salads, tostadas, and other dishes. With friendly service and delicious food, I highly recommend giving them a try! 10/10
