A wonderful surprise, finding this place so close to home. We’ve been here once before, during the busier winter season, and sat outside at that time enjoying the view. This time in the heat of summer, there were only a few other patrons present, so we did not know if there would be the normal kitchen staff. We were so pleasantly surprised with the wonderful dinner we had! Our server was excellent as well.
They offer the choice of two different dining areas. One is near the bar, and though it has a nice view the decor is sort of blah with metal tables. The more formal dining area made for an excellent date-night dinner. We will definitely return more often!

We had reservations for our family to have Thanksgiving dinner at the lovely Kokopellis. We have had several holiday meals there and were impressed. Beautiful mountain views, comfortable dining and good food.
This time was completely different. We were shoved in the bar area, metal uncomfortable chairs, wobbly table with dirty tablecloth and blue plastic water glasses. No view and it was very noisy.
If you look at the photos, it’s night and day what some people got for 55.00 per plate vs what we received for that same price.Very disappointed.

Best chicken wings ever! Salads are great! The breakfast omelettes are FIRE The service is fantastic. Love this place and all the improvements lately, new napkins, new spice holders on the table! Keep it coming!

I took my mom for live music, the music was suppose to go from 5-8, the musician did not start until 5:40 because he was too busy drinking and eating chicken wings. It reminded me of Seinfeld episode. Servers were very friendly, but the restaurant is under staffed. Only plus, great sunset views. Hopefully someday a new management company takes over so Gold Canyon can have at least one nice restaurant.

Gold Canyon is fortunate to have a restaurant of this caliber among the picturesque Superstition Mountain foothills. Beautiful surroundings, elegant menu choices, and efficient service. The dining room is open only on specific days, so check before going. The views from the floor-to-ceiling windows are lovely.

The outdoor patio is where you want to be!
We arrived just after sunset on a Wednesday and were seated right away with great views and great service. The steaks we ordered were flavorful and cooked perfectly, and the local beer on draft was a huge plus. We were staying nearby and were thankful for such a close gem!
If you’re hiking/staying in the Gold Canyon area, definitely hit up the patio at off times for a great seat. Sounds like it’s pretty popular at prime dinner time which is a sign of a good restaurant (IMHO).

The hanger steak that they recommend tasted like a over done chuck roast, over priced even for them so yes I was very disappointed. Pass on this place there’s other places in town much better

Just a beautiful evening at Kokopellis! I had the scallops! To die for! Exploding with flavor and just the right amount of veggies and on a bed of risotto! The view was gorgeous and the staff was very helpful and our server was so kind and attentive to our needs. I’m going back for sure! What an experience. Highly recommend!

Mmmm the ribs!!
I will be the first to admit I hate golf and golfers and avoid golf courses like the plague BUT! We saw GCGR had a Sunday rib special so we decided to try but with mashed potatoes and veggies to go!
The ribs fell off the bones and the potatoes I inhaled.
Locally in the Valley there are a few really well known yummy BBQ places but the sides tend to be ..meh and good BBQ is never cheap. Now I can honestly argue Gold Canyon has yummy ribs for a great price and better mashed potatoes!
