New Italian bistro. Ordered a cappuccino for $5.50, comes with a small biscotti. The cappuccino was strong and delicious.
They also offer pizzas, and other hot food and desserts. They only have four tables inside. In the summer, I assume they would have tables as I see dining umbrellas.

Stopped by this little place as it was by the water.
The service needs massive improvement, the people seem to be nice but could not figure on who to service… for someone to take our order took forever and then even just to get water was another 10mins … one customer (a lady with her kid) even walked out!
The food looks good but could use a little bit more flavour. The atmosphere is nice but I wish they did something about the bees outside.
Overall nothing great but not bad either.

I’m always excited to try new places in unionville as it’s one of the hidden gems in Markham but the food at La Fonte was a bit meh. Got the octopus and pasta. The octopus was good albeit small portion. The pasta was below average with the sauce feeling very watery and not coating to the pasta. They only serve pizza for lunch which is unfortunate as I was really wanting to try that. The scenery is very nice as the restaurant looks out into the pond.

Run don’t walk to this hidden gem in the town of Unionville. Walking onto the patio you feel immediately transported to a destination.
Then the wonderful service greets you with a menu that is simple and elegant. Can’t go wrong ordering anything from the menu as you can confidence that it was created with love and passion for quality.
I even saw the chef take a piece of basil and rosemary off the garden for my order.
This can be a 2x a week kind of place Esp because the menu is always changing.

Went to La Fonte with my parents & we had an amazing dining experience. From start to finish, everything was top-tier; authentic, flavourful, and memorable.
We ordered from the dinner menu and started with an appetizer of warm sourdough bread served with real Italian cheese; simple, yet rich and comforting. For our mains, we tried the lamb chops, the octopus, and the pasta of the day, which was a delicious all-vegetarian pesto pasta. Every dish was cooked to perfection, and the quality and taste clearly reflected the passion behind the kitchen.
To end the meal, we had their tiramisu, and it was hands-down one of the best it was
light, creamy, not too sweet. The drinks were also fantastic and complemented the meal well.
What truly elevated the entire experience was the service. Every server we interacted with was kind, generous, and made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for.
La Font is a true gem in Unionville, perfect for a date night, special occasion, or just a chill spot to hang since the pond is around, you can go for a walk before or after and really take in the views esp during dinner hours

Spent a lovely afternoon at this fantastic location! I tried a Pistachio coffee which was dreamy, perfect flavours! The apple bread pudding was delectable. Service was great too.

We ordered pizzas and a prosciutto salad with cheese and pickles. The food was ok but service wasn’t heartwarming as we came to their door after 2 in the afternoon and when we mentioned to sit at the higher table but the server told us he’d ask us to move to a smaller table if 3 or more people came.Well eventually, we were their last guests.

Truly a hidden gem within Main St Unionville, placed right in front of Too Good Pond, perfect place for summer patio season. Went to this little Italian restaurant on a rainy day, got seating relatively fast considering it’s got a small seating area. They’ve got appetizers, pizzas and sandwiches, a small dessert menu and a decent amount of drinks. Ordered the la Fonte tagliere – a nicely decorated charcuterie board that comes with a variety of meats and cheeses, with an amazing fig jam that I wish I could’ve bought. Though it’s weird, I’d literally eat the fig jam on its own, that’s how good it is. Also got the rapini and sausage pizza, good combination, a mix of bitterness and salty sausage. Also tried their caffe latte and apple cider, would highly recommend the apple cider – gave a warming feeling for the rainy day. Finished off with a tiramisu which was light and creamy, good on the coffee taste. The seating is limited and they could do with a pasta menu. Service was friendly and attentive. Would definitely come back.
As a side note for patrons, there is no in restaurant washroom, it’s the I believe public one behind the building.

Great little restaurant cafe overlooking Too Good Pond by Main Street Unionville
I would rate this like a cafe more than a restaurant even though I had dinner here in the patio
The patio seating was lovely minus the overwhelming amount of wasps which were out of their control
The service was okay all around
Their lunch menu is only from 11am-3pm while their dinner menu has a different time (ours was Friday-Sunday 6-9pm)
Their food was delicious and unique.
Menu wasn’t super extensive but has your basic needs.
Their tiramisu and gelato was okay

I was recently invited to a relatively new Italian restaurant on the north end of Toogood Pond in Unionville. La Fonte offers authentic Italian food made from fresh ingredients. They even grow some of their own herbs on site.
Chefs Luigi and Ricky created some beautiful fresh and delicious dishes for us while Danielle and Adam took care the front of house with excellent service.
Our fantastic meal started with an Heirloom Tomato Insalata, followed by a Green Bean Insalata, Bresaola, and Margherita and Calabrse Pizza. The flavours were rich and definitely delicious! Highly recommended!
A couple of cocktails were the perfect complement to this meal. They also offer a selection of coffees, including Espresso, Cappuccino, Marrochino, ands more.
