I did not eat at this particular restaurant. My boyfriend ate here he enjoyed his food. He likes Seafood I do not. We hit it towards the end of the season as a matter of fact I think it was the last day. He did like his food and he enjoyed the service the atmosphere left a little to be desired.

Ok, I loved this place! (With only one caviat- see the end of this post) Super cute, super clean, super fast, friendly service. Totally what i expected from a crab shack. great indoor and outdoor seating in a relaxed atmosphere with nice restrooms. Also, Love the fountain and the fun decor.

As for food, the crinkle cut sweet potato fries definitely came out of a freezer bag somewhere but they were really well cooked and surprisingly delicious (maybe i was just hungry?) But I would order them again. Fair prices. Ordered the steamed snow crab with hot butter as well and it was phenomenal. I would totally go back and order the exact same thing and be totally happy. I’d love to try their fish as well!
Our to go order was well packed in compostable containers and I was very pleased with everything.

THE CAVIAT – My husband and FIL ordered the large portion of whole belly clams (because they order that everywhere) and were a little dissapointed because they felt like maybe the frying oil hadnt been changed in quite some time. The clams were a little dark (from the old oil?) and they guys + my MIL rated the clams only 2 stars… but i tasted them and thought they were yummy (but i didnt have to eat a whole container) so . Good coctail sauce (but probably not house made)

There is no real table service. You order at a window, and they bring it out to you. Most everything we had was deep fried. Mine was ok, but my wife’s
was in too long. At the time it was good but when I got home I paid for it. Felt like I ate a bunch of fair food. It was kind of expensive. It wasnt horrible, but i dont think I will go back.

What a great place.
Out of all the restaurants for 90 miles, this one has crab legs and they are great!
Clams are very tasty!
The staff is friendly and prices are good.
Definitely a hidden gem!

The food is amazing every time. The crab legs, the haddock, fried pickles, mac n cheese, the fried shrimp, the mussels. Everything is so tasty. The people working are very nice too.

Even though we visited during Americade on one of the nicest days of the year, we were mystified by the lack of customers. The mystery didn’t last long. Our meal included under-cooked scallops, tough clams, and truly lousy french fries, but good fried shrimp, ribs and cole slaw. Lunch for two was a somewhat astonishing 49 dollars plus tip, with a 4 percent surcharge for using a debit card, which is probably against their agreements with the card companies and without question is an unwelcome slap in the face to traveling diners.

Mediocre food and usurious customer abuse equals a place we would never visit again. Visit at your own risk, and bring cash if you do.

Great local place for seafood, not fancy but casual seafood and very good Lobster. As long as you don’t expect 3 lb Lobsters and giant scallops you be happy. Friendly staff owner and family.

$10.95, for a little more than half a cup of lobster mac and cheese! The portion was a lot bigger at the beginning of the season. So disappointed.

Fun place. Never expected to find such a variety of seafood in Crown Point, NY.

PS Made it by the skin of our teeth. It was closing day for the season.

Revisited 3 years later. Hasn’t changed. Friendly service and fresh made food
