We are a family owned and operated true neighborhood bar and grill. Riverton Station was a much needed addition to the Riverton neighborhood, added to bring more life and revenue into making the neighborhood better. A simple menu executed with quality ingredients where every order is made fresh. Every aspect of bringing the restaurant to life came from the Riverton neighborhood. The plumber, the contractors, the electrician, the HVAC company, the managers, servers, cooks, the bakers, and yes the owners all reside in the Riverton neighborhood. The minute you walk through the door you will feel welcomed in a warm, clean, and comforting atmosphere where you feel like you have been going for years.

Well, let me tell you that we were all very pleased. We were taken care by a couple of wonderful friendly ladies, Our food was delicious and I especially enjoyed my Thai Chili pizza….yumm!
To top it off, the owner, Jamie, shared the interesting history of his fairly new establishment and was so courteous and charming!
Jaime, you might remember us….we were all sitting in the center of the restaurant with all our kiddies and you introduced us to your parents over in the next booth and also shared how cold Portland can be in the winter months, etc.
If we ever make our way back to Portland, we will make it a point to visit again!
Thank you and God bless you always!
Greetings from PA!
Our second visit, however, was a completely different story. We went on a Friday around 5 p.m. It was busy when we arrived, and our friends, who got there before us, had already secured a table inside. At first, our server was friendly and attentive, but that quickly changed toward the end of our meal.
As we were finishing up, she suddenly began clearing the table and taking everything — including my $10 mixed drink, which was still half full! I had to ask her three separate times to return it as she stood there with it in her arms. When I said something, she responded, “We have people waiting to be seated.” So what? I paid for that drink and would like to finish it! Her attitude was incredibly rude and unprofessional.
Then, another server came by and repeated the same thing — asking if she could take more items and again saying, “We have people waiting to be seated.” At that point, it was clear they were rushing us out. We hadn’t been there for hours — just long enough to enjoy a meal and a drink.
To make matters worse, the food wasn’t even good this time. My husband’s bacon came out barely cooked even though he specifically asked for it to be “really crispy, burned-up bacon.” His beer was lukewarm, and my baked ziti was bland and completely flavorless.
We gave this restaurant a second chance after a so-so first visit, but this experience was even worse than the first. We won’t be coming back a third time.
AND the wait to from order to food on table is completely unacceptable. An hour for a large pizza? 45 minutes for sandwiches, salads and appetizers? No way and certainly not worth the wait!
We also got a calzone, and was a bit disappointed that there was no ricotta in it. I don’t know if that is all their calzons, or if it was just ours.
One reason of being slightly underwhelming could have been from them not putting in our order until we actually arrived to pick it up and found it was never started. It could have been just rushed and mistakes were made, won’t know till my next visit. If better or worse, I’ll update this.
LOCAL to the core. We will be back for sure. _Janelle & Justin
