Definitely one of the BEST Jamaican restaurant i’ve eating food from, thought the other ones I tried were good but this beat every restaurant I’ve tried since being in Virginia, true traditional food. Jerk pork tender , juicy and perfectly seasoned. Didn’t even need the jerk sauce but that was good too. You have to try it for yourself, will not be disappointed. As a Jamaican myself I’m not too big on oxtail because everyone don’t make it right but my husband wanted it so I tried some of his I can say I’ll be back here for the oxtail and much more because these oxtails came from heaven itself. The Mac and cheese omg cheesy and cooked to perfection, better than any southern Mac and cheese I’ve had. Can’t wait to try other options. They give you a good amount of food as well just finished eating the rest for breakfast and still fresh and delicious. #1 in the 757! Yaadvybz bikkle Thank you for bringing real yaad food closer to me. Y’all will definitely be seeing a lot of me.

Food was great, no notes. Ordered a 3 meals: 1 curry chicken snack with mac, 1 small curry chicken meal with Mac and green beans, and 1 small jerk with rice and peas and green beans. We arrived later in the day so they were out of a few sides but we enjoyed our meals. They also gave us some chicken soup.
Ordered at the bar and waited for them to call our name. Portion sizes were very generous. My family agreed we would definitely eat here again.

The oxtails weren’t anything special and could have been a bit more tender. They were still good though and I’d get em again. Now the Mac and cheese and yams?? 5/5!!! They give you a lot too. Some of the best Mac I’ve ever had from a restaurant.

I purchased large oxtail with cabbage and Mac, I also got a curry chicken snack. The snack comes with one side,the curry flavor was good but was only on outside of chicken and I wish it wasn’t smashed together in a sandwich container with my yams. The oxtails were the best out of everything tender and flavored well, I got the large I had four oxtails but they were lean and not fatty, cabbage were just steamed and personally I believe like it cooked with the Veg-all(iykyk)and I got the Mac because of the reviews on social media but it gave me stouffer’s vibes with a lot cheese added to it (this is just my opinion) but I have never liked any Mac I gotta from any Jamaican restaurant but it was better than expected and not bad at all. I never ate inside but place seems like a cool little spot to eat and relax at, and the cashier was friendly. But of a wait too but I was told upfront and it wasn’t too bad, the kitchen was bringing orders out constantly but overall the whole vibe they provided was nice. But had to be honest in wishing the flavor was through out the chicken but this was my second visit and probably will visit again if in area.

[ NEW CARIBBEAN RESTAURANT IN THE 757 AREA ] I am so glad I stumbled upon @yaadvybzbikkle_ located in Portsmouth, VA. This restaurant did not miss a beat when it comes to customer service, flavor, speediness of receiving your order, and ambiance . Everything came out sooo fast pipping hot and tasting fresh! They also offer fresh pressed juices such as the pineapple ginger and hibiscus ginger which were both super delicious! I give them a SOLID 9.5/10 definitely recommend you taking the time to stop ❤️

First time here but heard nothing but good things about the food. Order at the bar, seat yourself and don’t forget getting yourself some napkins from the bar. They’ll call your name to come to the bar to get your food and you’ll receive your massive plates. The oxtails meal in the picture is their large and the curry chicken meal in the picture is their small. Let me tell you, you don’t want to miss trying this restaurant as their food is probably the best Jamaican food I’ve had in the 757 and I’m a foodie. It’s now one of two of my favorite Jamaican restaurants along side Cutlass Grille but with a edge above. Hats off to the chef and a high five to the crew. Love the music by the way. It adds to the great vibe.

Found this restaurant while I was on my lunch break and boy was I stunned after I tried their food. I got a small oxtail with yellow rice and mac’n’cheese for my sides. The oxtail was so flavorful and tender. The mac n cheese was the best one I’ve ever had. I had to come back a couple days later to really relish their food. I got the same thing but added plantains this time, and got an extra side of Mac & cheese.The staff is very friendly and you just know the food was prepared with love. I paired it with tropical rhythm and it just hits the spot.

Everything was on point. The portion for the large is a large it’s huge. The best curry chicken I’ve had since moving to VA. And I’ve been here for over 5 years. 10 out of 10. I highly recommend and. I will be back.
