Great food! The Ranch Hand is phenomenal! To the people complaining about no seating, Google virtual restaurant… it clearly states that there is no walk-ins, no indoor seating, etc. Do you complain that a pizza restaurant doesn’t sell tacos?

I got Nashville chicken first time. There was a little bit of a wait. So the manager was kind enough to accommodate me for the second order with sides and a drink. Second time I got ornery tots which was amazing!!!

Chicken wasn’t the best, but still giving 5 stars as it just wasn’t my taste and that’s okay. I tried the ornery tots, by the time I picked it up (maybe 10 mins after my scheduled time) and drove home, the tots were soggy. If the sauce would have been on the side and allowed the customer to put it on, I might try again but I don’t think it was worth the money. Mac and cheese was fire though.. Otherwise ordering online, pickup and the worker who brought it out to the car was super nice and process was smooth. Not to mention all my food was right that I ordered, compared to other restaurants I’ve been to that I had to pick up.

Workers are super nice, and very welcoming especially Keesha!!!! We are from out of town (Omaha) and didn’t know what we were walking into and they helped us figure it all out and accommodate any requests we had. We already had the 5 star review ready to go before we even had tasted the food and once the food came, it was even better than the service!!!! If you’re not from Des Moines, you need to check this place out before you leave!!!! You will NOT leave hungry or be disappointed!!!

5 stars highly recommended. No storefront, order online for pickup or delivery. When you arrive for pickup, park and text the number of the slot you parked in and they will bring it to you hot and fresh. Best chicken sandwich I’ve had in forever..I got the Nashville hottie, which wasn’t super hot, but great flavor and crunch, fresh moist chicken on the inside. Sidewinder fries are yummy and I got the Ornery tots too, which was a lot of food. Overall number 1 great chicken!

Food portions are excellent. Chicken was juicy and I really liked the sidewinder fries.
Slightly disappointing that the sandwiches we ordered had maybe a tablespoon of coleslaw on them. And if there was any spicy mayo at all, it was not enough to notice or taste.
I like the idea of a virtual kitchen, however, anyone who is familiar with fried foods knows that they don’t hold up (or stay crispy) for long, especially when transported in a container to eat 10-15 minutes later.
If you did want to truly showcase this style of food in the best way, a sit-down restaurant would be the way to go. Or possibly even a spot at the state fair, or a food truck. Just food for thought.
