Hark Bakery provided the cake and desserts for our September wedding, and they were a complete showstopper. Everything was fantastic. As my partner Ken noted, there wasn’t a single bite left over. His only regret was that we didn’t order more!
Bakery co-owner Lisa Neumann was helpful during our tasting and accommodated our timeline perfectly.
We chose Hark specifically for their expertise in vegan and gluten-free baking. It made hosting so much easier; we had a dozen guests with various dietary needs (vegan, GF, and lactose-intolerant), and everyone could enjoy dessert together without worry.
We couldn’t narrow down our choices after the tasting, so we went with two flavors:
* : Vanilla cake with lemon buttercream and custard.
* : Almond cake with vanilla buttercream and raspberry jam.
Both were delicious and beautifully decorated with edible dried flowers. We also served mini lemon tarts, hazelnut chocolate mousse cups, and salted chocolate chip cookies, all of which disappeared instantly.
Thoughtful, inclusive, and truly delicious. We’ll definitely be back for future celebrations!

Cute place with so many very, very exciting options! The gal at the counter was extremely welcoming and helpful. She let me ask a few questions, and even gave some recommendations! I am so excited that there is a gluten free place with such fun options, and some unique items as well, such as homemade pop tarts! (Even the inside jammy filling is homemade!). I bought a variety of items to take home and try, and so far so good. The tastes and textures were solid, but not 100% there for me, but still 90% (which is still an “A” in my book). This could be because although I have to eat gluten free, I am not vegan, and sometimes textures and flavors are different (people who aren’t gluten free say the same thing when things aren’t glutinous!). I had a great experience though, and I will definitely be going back!

We placed an order 3.5 weeks in advance for my little one’s birthday party and then sent a reminder the day before the party. We get an email at 5pm today (party is tomorrow morning) that they cannot fulfill our order due to “Covid” and that no one else can create or deliver the cake. It is so heartbreaking especially since our little one has food allergies and we were looking forward to having treats for her. Terribly unprofessional.

Nice atmosphere and lovely staff! Nice quiet and quaint cafe with lots of vegan and GF options, very friendly and helpful service/employees! Pretty good Oat Milk Latte! Added some sweetner to it and it was great! Nice music and served in nice ceramic mugs! Not a ton of food options and not good for nut-free food options but perfect for vegan bakery items!

Aliya provided fantastic, friendly service and the food was delicious. She suggested the vegan BBQ tacos and they hit the spot! Crunchy and warm, tons of flavor and a bit spicy. The sazerac cocktail was also perfect. Food came out fast.

We chose Hark Bakery for our wedding cake, and it was truly one of the best decisions we made! My wife and I are both dairy-free (which can be hard to find accommodations for in the wedding cake industry), and from the beginning Lisa and Katherine made it so easy and such a fun process to work with them! There were so many amazing options to choose from for the tasting, and they took the time to understand our vision and brought it to life perfectly. The cake was not only absolutely stunning but also incredibly delicious! From start to finish, the team at Hark was kind, helpful, and genuinely wonderful to work with. We couldn’t have asked for a better vendor for such a meaningful part of our day. Highly recommend!

It came very very plain. Almost no flavor and only chocolate iced lettering on chocolate colored base with absolutely no other decorations. For over $60, I feel like I overpaid for what I got.
I’m hoping that my circumstance is an outlier – I am sure this bakery is very good and I have heard great reviews. It did not, however hold up to my expectations.

Over the weekend I stopped for coffee, not knowing it was a gluten-free and vegan café. The joy! I immediately bought four treats and they were all delicious. The lemon meringue pie was the absolute best. I’m sure I’ll be back again for them to take all my money.

The cake was delicious. I loved how perfectly moist the gluten free cake was. I feel like a lot of novice gluten free products are crumbly/dry, and I’m pleased to report that’s not the case here.
While ordering, I had the opportunity to speak with Lisa -who was super professional and polite during the busy holiday season.
