The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated : cozy, stylish, and inviting. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel comfortable, whether you’re dining with family or enjoying a quiet meal.
I ordered the salmone alla champagne, and it was exceptional , perfectly cooked and full of rich flavor. My son had a cheese pizza, and it tasted just like the authentic pizzas you’d find in Italy.
And I have to mention the tiramisu . It’s the best you can find in the DFW area. It’s housemade, incredibly fresh, and absolutely delicious.
The quality of the food is consistently top-notch, and the prices are very reasonable for what you receive. Mio Gusto is truly the best Italian restaurant in the area. Excellent food, wonderful service, and a welcoming atmosphere make it a place I’m always happy to return to. Highly recommended!
The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and full of charm. We dined with our daughters, but it’s definitely a place I’d love to return to for a dinner with friends. It has such an easy, relaxed vibe—perfect for enjoying great conversation, drinks, and incredible food. ♀️✨
The food was outstanding from start to finish. I was especially impressed by the fresh, unsweetened baked bread rolls—simple, warm, and absolutely delicious. I ordered the meatballs as a starter, and they were so filling and flavorful that I was almost full before my main dish arrived. Every bite was generous, rich, and satisfying.
The branzino was phenomenal, and the wine paired perfectly with it. But the real showstopper at the end was the tiramisu—pure perfection.
An amazing dining experience all around. We will definitely be back!
We ordered the Margarita pizza as a starter. The dough was light and airy and good ratio of cheese and sauce. The server brought out some bread for us as well and offered some grated cheese and olive oil to go with it. As he was grating the cheese, a lot of it spilt over to the table and on our laps.
We ordered the Saltimbocca and Misto di Mare as our mains and those took about 40 minutes before we got them. It was a long wait considering we were the only customers seated in the restaurant at the time. The mains weren’t that great, the chicken and pasta were really salty and I didn’t taste any white wine when it was supposed to be a white wine sauce. The shrimp was the best part of the Misto di Mare, however 3 of the mussels in the dish were closed which can be very unsafe to eat. We also found some weird material in one of the open mussels. We pointed it out to them and they brought over some more mussels which were better than the ones in the dish.
Overall, I think they can improve on the quality of the food and on the time it takes to bring the food out because I can’t imagine how much longer we would have had to wait if they were busier.
The food is incredible. Every dish was high-quality, fresh, and served in generous portions that made the whole experience feel like true hospitality. We started with perfectly cooked calamari—light, crispy, and flavorful—followed by the most delicious shrimp scampi and an outstanding eggplant rolatini that was rich, tender, and full of depth. For the main course, the chicken piccata was bright, buttery, and perfectly balanced. And of course, we ended with tiramisu that was silky, delicate, and absolutely memorable.
A special shoutout to the complimentary table rolls—they were warm, soft, and such a thoughtful touch that made the meal feel even more comforting.
But what truly sets Mio Gusto apart is the owner. His kindness, passion, and genuine care for his customers make the entire experience feel personal and special. You can feel his love for good food and good community in every detail.
I’m thrilled to have Mio Gusto nearby, and I can’t wait to come back. A new favorite, without question! ✨
The atmosphere is warm and cozy, they had a Christmas tree and were playing Christmas music with medium ambient lighting. Other than the employees, a family in the back that seemed to be related to employees, and one other family, we were actually alone in the restaurant.
We received complimentary bread that was quite good. Soft, warm, and served with oil and vinegar. Could’ve used some butter, but still delightful anyway.
I got the Piccata, and though it wasn’t bad, I didn’t find it amazing either. The chicken had a lovely cook to it, and they actually served the side pasta in the sauce instead of with marinara which was nice, but the sauce distinctly lacked the citrus flavor that makes Piccata what it is. I strongly believe no lemon at all was in the sauce. It was more than palatable, just not what I expected.
I also felt that overall, the prices seemed reasonable and competitive for the area.
All in all, the place gave me a distinct feeling of, “I’m a little disappointed today, but I’d come back and try something else.” Likely something in a red sauce.
Shoutout to our server Amanda for her great service during our meal!
Then I tried the home-made Tiramisu, and I was honestly shocked. I’ve tried Tiramisu in so many places, but nothing like this. This is the one, trust me! So soft, creamy, and perfectly sweet absolutely delicious.
And the Lavazza coffee was such a sweet surprise. I love this coffee, and I’m so happy I found a spot this close that serves it!
So if you want amazing food and a cozy, aesthetic place to enjoy it, you’re in the right spot! Thank you Mio Gusto for opening right next to our office, we love it already!
Our food was pretty good, the chicken picatta could have used more lemon flavor, but otherwise everything was tasty.
We will be returning and we hope others give it a try as well.
The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Every dish we tried tasted authentic and full of flavor. Definitely one of the best Italian spots in the area. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!
