Food was really good, I had the pot roast philly, 9/10 fish tacos 10/10, Reuben rolls 10/10. Food all came out within 10-15 minutes maybe even sooner. I was shocked how quick it came out. All together amazing first time being here.

I went there and enjoyed their one of a kind Bourbon selection as well as some top notch food!

Their bourbon selection is some of the best bourbon in Erie County, hands down. Buffalo Trace, Bookers, Williet, Penelope, and so many others. They are easily worth a visit for bourbon alone. Their bartenders make great cocktails and are on the ball! I took an order of food to go and my check was waiting for me when the food was brought out and I missed the bartender bringing me the check because I was enamored in conversation about bourbon with the patrons and staff.

The food is next worldly. The tacos (Bark Mac and Salty Pup) are outstanding. The Bark Mac tacos were more food than I thought and cooked to perfection. The burger patty was done perfectly to enjoy in a taco and the sauce flavor as well as condiments were just right for a taco. The fish tacos are next world. My first bite made me mad because I felt like someone should have told me about them and I’m trying to help everyone else out by doing for you what no one did for me. There is no “fishy” taste and the sauce is just the right level of flavor to compliment the fish without overpowering it. There is a slight kick to it to add to the depth of flavor.

The steak sandwich was amazing! I’m a Philly guy so “cheesesteak” is hard for me to acknowledge outside of the Philly area, but the sandwich is great. There was a heaping portion of meat with a roll that could handle the job of containing the meat, cheese, peppers, and onions. It’s a unique sandwich that is filling and flavorful in a way that gives a nod to a Philly cheesesteak while acknowledging it isn’t one with a roast instead of a cut of prime rib.

The steak-frites are also a hit. The truffle fries are flavorful and come topped with cheese as well as the steak to add flavor and is well seasoned and tender. No knife needed for the steak as it comes cut but also is just that tender. I almost didn’t get any fries as the split dish at the time of ordering was almost too good to share with me.

The wings are really good! The sauces were delicious and in a town that prides itself on its wings, these are some good bar wings! They are meaty, well sauced wings that are worth it. The Erie wing scene is tough and Hair of the Dog proves to be able to add their own flare to the robust Erie wing scene.

When I stopped in they had Reuben rolls which were really good! Definitely something different, the rolls were like egg rolls and came with a Thousand Island dipping sauce. They were crispy and well textured. Absolutely great!

The service was exceptional! The bartender was great, the owners were talking to people and engaged the entire time. You can tell everyone there wants to be there and is happy to be there. It’s a welcomed addition to an area that has its typical spots and not much new happening otherwise. Between the great people visiting and the staff working there, this is a great place to be for the big game, or a chance to get out and be around good people. Regardless of your reason, it is a welcoming spot with great food and drinks!

The food, service, and atmosphere are all 10/10. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated, the bar is fully stocked with a ton of options, and the staff are all friendly and welcoming. The food comes out hot, it’s delicious, and the portions are HUGE! We will definitely be back regularly!

Had an amazing experience here! The food was outstanding and everything came out fresh and full of flavor. The drinks were just as impressive — great selection and perfectly made. The atmosphere really ties it all together, with a fun, welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. Can’t wait to come back again soon and bring the puppies along to enjoy it all over again!

Hair of the Dawg absolutely delivered! Steak was cooked so perfect I almost didn’t want to share (but I did… barely). Old Fashioned was so good it made me consider adopting a dog on the spot. Service was awesome, and the whole dog friendly vibe makes it even better. Big shoutout to the new owners and staff, you guys crushed it. 10/10, will be back for more steak and Old Fashions!

This restaurant is an absolute GIFT to the West County area! We decided to go there for dinner as we saw on social media that they were having a soft opening tonight. My husband had the pot roast Philly sandwich with fries. I had the pork chop with mashed potatoes and asparagus. We had the jalapeño popper appetizer as well. There wasn’t one thing that was not delicious. In fact, I told my husband that the mashed potatoes were the best I’d had in a restaurant since we moved to Erie 7 years ago. The pork chop was divine – it had this crust on it that was crazy good.

But then…THEN…we had the waffle and ice cream dessert. Holy…cow…it was the most ridiculously good dessert I’ve had in, well, as long as I can remember. I will dream of that dessert.

The owner and the chef stopped by our table and spoke with us. Our waitress was fun and engaging. Honestly, this might be my new favorite restaurant in the West County. Definitely check it out. You will not regret it.
