Darling’s Bar on Bardstown Road in Louisville brings an exciting, unique twist to the cocktail scene in the Highlands. This European-inspired bar, housed in the former Better Days Records location, immerses visitors in a cozy Art Nouveau ambiance featuring antique decor, murals, and a vintage-inspired neon sign. Renowned for its gin-forward menu, Darling’s offers not only a refreshing selection of gin cocktails but a full bar, including popular house creations like “Gertrude’s Gimlet” and “Bolo Rental.” Guests appreciate the bar’s relaxed, inviting atmosphere, making it a perfect spot to unwind or connect with friends.
Patrons can expect attentive service, creative cocktails crafted with top-quality ingredients, and a crowd that enjoys the sophisticated yet unpretentious vibe. By the way, our bartender Liam was amazing, friendly and professional.

Great little dive bar on Bardstown. Drinks are STRONG! Just the way I like ’em. Was pretty crowded the night we were there, luckily we got spots sitting at the bar.

Nicholas and Em were my bartenders tonight, both of them were very friendly! We had some great conversations while we drank an Old Fashioned, the Milk and Honey, a Margarita, and the Nitro Velvet Dagger (espresso cake martini). We also got to sample the Red Bells, all of the drinks were made with elegance and so TASTY!!! The milk and honey was spiced which made it very flavorful, I loved it. I will be back for more the vibe is very laid back and comfortable, I came on Sunday night and it was super chill and relaxed.

Great location on bardstown. Bartender explained a couple of drinks and the differences based on what we were looking for. The bolo was sweet and lemony and the geyser was smoky with a lot of flavors going on. I had to google half the ingredients in each drink- it’s quite a variety. Will be back to try other cocktails on the list!

Lovely little cocktail bar. Our bartender was SO knowledgeable and put up with our dozens of questions about the menu. I got the Paging Dr Brown per his recommendation and couldn’t have been happier. Also some of the best espresso martinis I’ve had. Note that it is small inside so seating is limited, however the barstools are extremely comfy!

Darling’s is a great place to visit for a specialty cocktail, whether you’re going for Tuesday Happy Hour or a 1AM drink. It’s one of the few places open late in this area of Bardstown Road, which is great. You can’t go wrong with a reliable Old Fashioned or something more adventurous. They also have some nice specialty beers on draft or in cans. Ordering when it’s busy can get a bit hectic though, and it would be nice if they had a dedicated spot to order at the bar.

Always love stopping in. Best Gin selections in 5 states. I love the homemade tonic, especially the no sugar version! Terrific Bartenders for cocktails as well as super draft and bottle selections for beer. Great place to grab cocktails with friends.

An awesome, chill bar with a really cool atmosphere. The cocktails are great and the bartenders were all super nice and chill. On a Saturday night it was busy but not too packed to where you couldn’t get a table to sit at. Nine Tales is my personal favorite cocktail they have.
