Delicious food with great service and kind workers, the fish were healthy and in great condition. The area offers wonderful views next to the river and the inside is quaint and relaxing. An amazing mix of Italian style food as well as seafood and beyond, worth coming back!

We came in close to closing time and they still gladly served us. We were fully prepared for the kitchen to be closed. Very clean environment, we sat by the fish tank and loved watching them. It was a nice quiet spot away from the loud part of town almost a hidden gym. The serving sizes were huge so we had plenty of food to take home. To the group that bought our food tonight thank you so much we are very appreciative of this. I wish we would’ve had cash to tip our waitress too she was very funny and kind.

We had a fabulous dinner celebrating a birthday. The food was delicious. We had the tempura shrimp and fried calamari for appetizers. So good. There were five of us and we each had a different entree: two steak, fish , chicken, and pasta. Huge portions. Cooked perfect. We also had dessert, great selection and maybe the best tiramisu I’ve ever had. Our waitress was attentive and so pleasant. This was my first time here an we will absolutely be back. Highly recommend!

TLDR: DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY OR HEALTH

Fountain Hill Seafood and Steak Company markets itself as a nice, upscale restaurant–but from the moment we sat down, it was clear that the reality didn’t match the reputation.

Let’s start with the food. The Caesar salad was appalling: wilted lettuce, discolored rinds, and a watery, unappetizing dressing that somehow cost an extra $2. It looked so bad I hesitated to eat anything else. That hesitation was justified.

The chicken dumpling soup looked and tasted like canned Campbell’s chicken noodle with soggy bread chunks tossed in as a sorry excuse for dumplings. I took a video because I couldn’t believe they actually served that–absolutely disgusting.

Breadsticks were cinnamon-flavored (???) served with garlic butter. The shrimp tasted heavily processed, and the stuffed shrimp were filled with a weird pink paste that was supposedly crab and cheese but had the unmistakable smell and taste of low-grade seafood. The tartar sauce–served in a plastic cup–was overly sweet and cheap.

The only thing remotely enjoyable was the salmon, which was cooked well and paired with a decent sauce. The twice-baked potato had good flavor but was served at wildly inconsistent temperatures. I ended up barely eating and still left with an upset stomach.

And while they claim to be a fine dining establishment, the details say otherwise. Condiments were served in disposable plastic ramekins, and drinks came with fast food-style red striped straws–an odd and jarring choice for a place that’s supposedly aiming for a higher-end experience.

The space itself is tired and unkempt. Dirty carpets, dusty corners, dim lighting, and fish tanks that were either covered up or cloudy and clearly neglected. It felt more like a forgotten buffet than a reputable steak and seafood restaurant.

The staff were kind and accommodating, and I genuinely felt for them. There was an unspoken sense that they knew the place was struggling and they were just doing their best to hold it together. Their professionalism was appreciated, but they were clearly limited in what they could fix.

The real low point came when my dad ordered seafood pasta without shrimp for religious reasons. It arrived with shrimp. We sent it back and were told it would be remade. But after finishing his dish, he found an entire shrimp hidden at the bottom. When he brought it to the manager’s attention, she simply asked, “Well, what do you want me to do?”–an unacceptable response to a serious dietary request. My dad just looked at her and said, “Nothing, don’t worry about it” because she should’ve taken charge. He is a frequent fine diner and would have returned to give them another shot if this would have been handled in the proper, courteous way.

Grafton has been in a long rut when it comes to food options, and it’s incredibly disheartening that this place is still being held up as one of the town’s “nicer” restaurants. It’s not. The area deserves real investment and real culinary leadership–not a dusty, overpriced spot coasting on a reputation it no longer earns.

Umm this place is amazing y’all. Went for their Sunday buffet. It had made in house lasagna, eggplant parmesan, and boneless ribs. I was certain I was going to have to apologize to my wallet later. It was 13$ y’all. And it comes with a soft drink. Thats pre 2010 prices yall. The staff were super nice and professional too. A lot of buffets you have to chase your server around to get your drink refilled. Not here. They refilled my glass at least 4 times. They told me again and again to take my time with the buffet even though I came in late. They made me feel super welcome. Theyre my new food stop on the way to Pere Marquette.

Very Nice Experience At Dinner. Thoroughly enjoyed the food. Service was great. Ambiance was warm & enjoyable. The owner was interactive with the guests and involved and invested in the operation of his restaurant (love to see that). Highly recommended!

23 of us dined today for lunch. Our waiter Leo did an amazing job. He has patience of a saint and smiled the entire time.
Food was good. Everyone got what they ordered. Kept drinks filled and provided extra forks for our birthday cake.

Food was just simply not good. Everything was bland or too greasy. First, we were served garlic biscuits with cinnamon butter. The catfish wasn’t even catfish and tasted like tilapia. If it is catfish, it is not local. Even the tartar sauce has no flavor. Sauce with calmari tasted like tomato water. My stuffed shrimp were very greasy and did not taste like anything except oil. They were small and dried. The menu does not list side options which is odd. Our waitress was nice but she tried to take our order before we had even opened our menus. Took the drink menu without asking if we needed it. The layout of the restaurant is odd. Everyone wants to sit by the fish tanks which only consists of 4 tables right by the door and waitress station. Overall was a lackluster birthday dinner!

We loved this place. The service was excellent and the entire staff were very attentive and genuinely care about customer service. I had a seafood pasta dish that was very tasty. Price and food portion size were both very reasonable and appropriate. Food is well prepared and very tasty. Atmosphere was very warm and friendly, again with a clear priority on customer service and satisfaction. Even though it was fairly crowded, the noise level was negligible. I was very impressed and enjoyed it thoroughly.

From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for something special. Used to come to this location many times when it was the Finn Inn. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, (and they kept the iconic fish tanks!) but what truly made the experience unforgettable was both the incredible food and the outstanding service.

Every dish was perfectly prepared of flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. You can tell the chef takes pride in the details, from fresh ingredients to balanced flavors that keep you wanting more.

The service was just as impressive. Attentive without being intrusive, friendly without being forced. the staff made us feel welcomed and genuinely cared for throughout the entire meal. They anticipated needs before we even had to ask, which is rare and speaks volumes about their dedication to hospitality.

This is the kind of place you’ll want to return to again and again, not only for the food but for the way it makes you feel while you’re there. Truly a gem! highly recommend! PS. Our server Leo was the best!!!
