The ice cream was flavorful and well made. While the quality was good, the pricing felt a bit high for the portion size.

I visited here after a walking tour of the area. The Passion Fruit Sorbet was excellent. Service was friendly and quick. The one weakness is probably price to value ratio, as you don’t get much for $8. It was tasty though! They have some very cute popsicles!!

Cute little gelato shop inside the Hotel Del. It was convenient and nice to have a cold treat after walking along the beach.
Small selection of gelatos and a little pricey. I got the banana gelato to try something different. The popsicles were good but also a little pricey at $8 each.

The heart of hoity toity meets sugar. It’s decent ice cream in a place that is fraught with history and amazing views and a beach to die for. Have the ice cream and enjoy California! Sure, it’s pricy but you’re in Coronado and rooms are like $1400 a night here so… enjoy the ice cream and live the sweet life – one bite at a time.

This is a great dessert destination in Coronado. Lots of variety from bars to gelato to ice cream. No matter how crowded it is at the hotel, you always get in and out pretty quickly. Their menu is pretty diverse with a lot of specialties. Definitely feels like a vacation ice cream spot. Unless you’re already visiting the hotel, this can be difficult to get to.

The reward for waiting is great. Don’t miss the joy of imagining while waiting in line. Don’t look at it as a small ice cream shop. It’s really good. It was so cold, but I couldn’t resist the temptation. I strongly recommend you to taste it once.

It’s a hot day for ice cream!!! It’s so nice to have this gelato and paleta shop in hotel del Coronado, I mean it’s really necessary. People enjoy yummy desserts in vacation, especially in a beach vacation. The shop looks really cute, beautiful gelato and paleta choices. I ordered a berries & agave paleta, which is pretty delicious. I definitely loved it. The only thing is that I feel it’s a little too over priced. I paid almost $9 for one paleta. I know it makes sense to sell pricier things at here, but it is a little too over priced.

Our family loved the gelato! Also, the service was excellent. The gentleman at the register was very patient with the young lady in front of us. We would definitely return if we were in the area.

We got Popsicle, 2 scope on cone and 2 scoop in cup. They tasted OK. It is very pricy for what it was. Staff were very friendly.

We wanted to take our kids for ice cream after walking the beach. A sign listed gelato at the Hotel Del, so we went to find that. It isn’t super clearly marked out if you’re coming from the beach area, we used Google maps walking directions, otherwise I likely would’ve had to ask someone. It’s tucked behind a cafe shop and pizzeria, and the sign is fairly small. Perhaps if we were coming from the other direction it would have been more noticeable.

They have popsicles and gelato. You can customize either. The prices aren’t exactly shocking for the Del, but I really can’t say a popsicle is worth $9 something with tax. I was very glad they had non dairy options. I had the strawberry kiwi popsicle. My kids got two scoops of gelato and a waffle cone each. Somehow a simple beach wall turned into a $50 ice cream run. Wow.

Lots of flavors. Staff was very nice and helpful. They were very patient as they waited for my youngest to make up her mind on what she wanted. The popsicle design was cute. Flavor was good but nothing spectacular. But again, I had the non dairy option. And we got to eat gelato and watch the waves crash. So cute experience. Likely won’t do again because I think I could buy a few months of ice cream for less haha
