The food was great, really loved the spicy tuna sushi, definitely recommend! I liked the wasabi soy sauce given with the bowls as well. Only downside was the seats. The restaurant was full inside and we sat outside, but there were a bunch of mosquitoes biting our legs. Other than that, server was cool and food was great.

A Memorable Date Night at Midorie

My wife and I recently enjoyed a date night at Midorie in Coconut Grove, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The attention we received as diners was truly outstanding—every detail was carefully considered, making us feel valued and well taken care of throughout the evening.

One of the highlights of our night was the generosity of the chef, who went above and beyond to ensure that each dish was not only fresh and delicious but also thoughtfully curated. The menu offered a perfect blend of flavors and ingredients, clearly reflecting the chef’s dedication to quality.

A unique aspect of Midorie that we loved is the ability to bring your own wine or sake without any uncorking fee. This added a personal touch to our evening, allowing us to enjoy our favorite bottle. If you don’t have one on hand, Vinoteca Miami is just two minutes away, making it easy to pick up a great wine or sake before your meal.

Overall, our experience at Midorie was unforgettable, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a special dining experience in Coconut Grove.

Pablo was very knowledgeable and an incredibly friendly server! He told us to get the handrolls and recommended some amazing Nigiri like the Otoro and the Madai. Go here and ask for Pablo! Be sure to BYOB 😉

Hole in the wall restaurant, the best bowls in South Miami. All the ingredients are fresh. I like the Omakase of nigiri , any other bowls are excellent for the price. And i do like the eel hand rolled. I take my 4 year old daughter to eat there and she loves it.
The staff is young and friendly

Good selection of fish. However, they all tasted the same with slightly different texture. Nigiri was served undressed. Generally, nigiri at the price point would be inclusive of garnishes/special soy sauce/wasabi.
Service was attentive and polite.
Would recommend not straying away from bowls.

Group of friends and I were in town for just the night and looking for a good sushi place. I saw a couple blog posts mention Midorie, and we were so glad we checked it out! I called ahead and while they don’t take reservations, they were incredibly helpful and kind in helping us determine when to come to get a table. The outside seating is so cute and everyone was really kind! The food was incredible, our table got a lot to share and ended up ordering more because the Midorie maki roll and salmon were just that good. A hidden gem for sure, but the fresh fish is worth looking for it!

The food was excellent. The service very poor. The ambiance poor. It’s located in the middle of an open hall with wooden tables and chairs, greasy. They don’t sell alcohol. Soft drinks are very limited. Extremely expensive for what they offer.

My friend asked me to come with her here and I’m super happy she did! This is a cute hidden spot in the Grove from the same owners as Wabi Sabi. My friend opted for the omakase which was $100 and served all at once on a plate and I got the Midorie bowl which was really good and I found to be a good value! Really delicious fish and sushi!

They do not take reservations and they are BYOB and don’t charge you a corkage fee or anything.

Delicious Omakaze experience with a wide variety of sashimi and rolls. My fave was the shiitake rolls. And I was obsessed with the wasabi oil they gave us for the hand roll. The service was amazing and the itamaes the best, we even got to try a very fluffy matcha biscuit and the shaved ice with mint and lemony taste was amazing!
